Hey all! I just stumbled upon this film, Chance, when I was looking for videos on YouTube from the Paleyfest BtVS cast reunion. It's a film written and directed by Amber Benson (whom played Tara on BtVS) starring some other BtVS alum as well. I watched a few clips of it...and it looks very interesting to say the least. 🙂 Sadly, it's very rare and you can't get it on Amazon...there was one copy on Ebay, though.

Just thought you all might be interested!

Has anyone else heard of this or seen it? Does anyone own a copy?

I've seen this film. It was great!

James is so funny in it...you get to him dress in a dress *sniggers*

But yeah it's a great film. If you could get a copy of it, it would be worth it.
 
This is one of my all time favorite movies, I love it so much. I watch it at least once every few months. I love seeing James as a dork, and his chemistry with Amber is just so good. Wonderful film.
 
All I have is a signed copy of "Lovers, Liars and Lunatics" from her, I've never managed to get a hold of "Chance".

So that works great.

It's actually a really great movie. I recommend it. 🙂

I'm so suprised! I saw it about four years ago and remember agreeing whole heartedly with my friend when he said 'this is the worst film ever made'....maybe I was drunk?
 
Charlie, I think some Buffy fans can put the blinders on a bit when it comes to movies that have Buffy actors involved...
 
I actually didn't like it. Too be fare, I was very deep in my Buffy-crush and anything not Buffy seemed aweful to me, and did still not like the idea of James not being british, so today, I might actually like the movie. One day I'll re-watch it. One day.

But I remember not liking it. For a first movie, it's great(it was amber's first time behind the camera I think) and some scenes made me lol and/or go awww. I guess I just didn't like the characters.

I remember thinking: Why did she get together with that prude wuss? And come on, there's a dead body on the bed? Why are you having sex?

Not that I didn't find the characters realistic, I just don't think I could connect with either one of them. And I both liked and disliked the fact that it kinda had a home movie feel to it (I blame/thank the low budget).

But like I said, I saw it a long time ago, while being very bias.
 
I've only seen a few scenes from it but I'll buy if I can find it (for less than the Chance website is asking lol). I am just tickled pink with the idea of James in a dress... And I have no problem with him not having a British accent. He's a wonderful actor, not just as Spike!

I'm a fan of this flick, very cool. Without being amazing-earth-shattering genius it succeeds in being entertaining. Love the diegetic/nondiegetic switch with the busker dude 🙂 Not holding out much hope that "Spara" will make an appearance in the great 'ships debate tho, lol.
