What opinions do have that have changed upon multiple rewatches?

I used to dislike Angel Season 4 and now it's one of my favorites. Same with Darla's character.

I used to cringe at most of Season 6 of Buffy and now I find it oddly comforting.

It's weird but I didn't really like Willow becoming a witch at first and now I do.
 
I used to like Angel, but lately I find him annoying

At first I didn't like cordy, but now she's my favorite character 😀

I used to ship Buffy and Riley and Buffy and Angel (but now I don't like either)
 
For it was seasons 4, 5 and 6 of BTVS. They were so very different that I think they took some getting used to, but now after I am much more likely to watch an ep from one these seasons. The complexity I find very riveting.
 
I used to hate Faith but now she's not as bad as I thought. I also used to find Xander funny but now he annoys me a bit.
 
Xander, my view keeps changing
when I'm watching Buffy in say summer, I like him, the next time i begin to watch the Buffy series I hate him. Its wierd, my views keep changing.
My views keep changing constantly about Riley, Faith, and Dawn, and Kennedy I cant stand Kennedy.
I also used to hate Darla but after watching it again I feel a deep fondness for her.
And Fred at first i liked, but after watching Angel again, I think i preferred Illyria.
 
I used to hate S7, now I hate it even more. 😀 The opposite with Xander, I used to love him, now I LOVE HIM EVEN MORE!! I CAN'T HELP HOW MUCH I ADORE HIM!!! Hot, sexy, awesome, amazing Xander!!! Aww, Xander!!!

Seriously, my view changed in the sense that I see the series in a more objective way. My bias used to get the best of me before, now I find myself more fair when discussing all the characters and trying to see where they're coming from. The subject of fans' wrath has always been Buffy, Xander, Spike, Angel, Riley, Dawn and Kennedy. I find myself the most sympathetic toward them because of the hate and anger usually directed toward them.
 
- I used to dislike Riley, now I like him.
- I used to think Xander was boring(see: when I was a teen), now I think he's a great character.
- I love Buffy much more than I did on the first watch.
- I'm not as annoyed by Connor as I was back then.
- Angel season 2(except for the last few eps) is even more boring to me than it was once upon a time.
- I used to have a crush on Faith... not anymore. 😉 Not to say she isn't hot!
- I enjoy Restless much more now than I did as a teenager.
- I find Anya more annoying now than I did before.
- I have more and more trouble considering Angelus the *baddest* vampire in history. What with him never fighting head on. 😛
- The more I watch BtVS s7, the more I think they missed a great opportunity with 'The First'. Making him immaterial was lame, and if he could have turned into previous big bads and actually have been involved physically in the story, we'd have got some great showdowns. Also... Buffy vs Buffy? 🙂 Sounds great to me!
- The more I watch BtVS, the more I wish Jenny wouldn't have died... Giles and her were such a nice couple.
- I don't hate Kennedy as much as I did at first.
- I hate Rona MUCH more than I did on my first watch. 😡
- I've never thought of that back then, but what if Graham had joined the Scoobies?! Maybe he'd have gotten more girls rooting for him than Riley! Lol! 😛 But seriously, he always gave me a good vibe, and they could have had an interesting backstory for him.
- Andrew is funny and all, but the more I watch s7, the more I wish they had just focused on the core four, ugh.
- Kate gets on my nerves even more now... What the hell was her problem, anyway?
- I hate Eve more and more, every rewatch.

By core four you mean Buffy, Willow, Xander and Andrew...cool cool I like that!
I used to dislike Cordelia, now i like her.
I used to hate Jenny as well, now I think she's OK.
Then I also found Harmony really annoying, but now I think she's funny.
I also used to hate Dr. Walsh and now.... oh, wait. I still hate her.
 
I would say, basically, it's been a matter of characters growing on me.

I love catching more and more of the little things that make each character so great...and they seem to get funnier too.

right now, in my re-watch I'm on season 4 (just watched The I in Team) and Riley is just growing on me more and more... I've been really noticing just how brave he is...I mean, he was basically created by maggie walsh to be this tow the line, follow orders, grunt soldier guy...and she says "you really aren't one for asking questions, are you?" and he says, "I'll leave that to you."... It impresses me that he encounters such a different way of looking at and being in the world and he's not threatened... He just watches her with pride. I think that's really cool.

(thoughts are kind of jumbled...maybe I need more coffee...I hope that made some sense)

One of the things that I like about Riley is that he always accepts Buffy for who she is

I agree my changes tend to be liking things I didn't like before rather than the other way around.
I was indifferent to Spuffy on first watch, but they grew on me during my second watch (first rewatch) and now I really enjoy their relationship, and the character of Spike, and I'm looking forward to watching it more closely on my next watch.

I used to love Giles, and now I love AND adore him. 🙂
 
Giles becomes more funny and less stuffy with every re-viewing.

and yes, that's the point I was trying to make about riley. he's confronted with someone who operates in a way that's totally foreign to him and completely goes against everything he was made to believe in and depend on and he's not only accepting, he's encouraging.

willow is also really growing on me. I always liked her but it increases exponentially each time I see her.
 
Heh. When I was a teenager I could not have cared less about Spike. For serious. I was an Angel girl all the way.

I still love Angel and I do enjoy the Bangelyness when I rewatch the show but now I'm all about Spike. He's my favorite character and I love his and Buffy's relationship and how it evolves.

I used to love Willow, now I can't really tell, what I feel about her character.
I used to love Spike, now I don't like him that much.
I used to hate Dawn, now I actually grew on her. I think she's a great add to the show.
I used to be indifferent to Tara, now I like her a lot.
I used to hate Riley and Xander, but.... nah... they're still total jerks to me 😀

wait, buffy, spike and angel are on that list? that's surprising to me. riley, dawn and kennedy definitely get alot of gruff (funny word) and xander as well, though not as much (from what I've seen)

of that list, kennedy, is the one person I agree should be on it.

I see a lot of Buffy, Spike and Angel bashing just as much as I see for Xander, but it hurts more with Xander because I love him so I tend to notice it more with Xander. 🙂

Angel now gets a lot of flak because of S8, Buffy always gets hated on ever since S6, and Spike ever since he stopped wanting to kill Buffy and wanting to "shag her." 😀

Huh. all that surprises me.

I'm on #2 of season 8 comic, and angel hasn't even showed up yet, plus I'm only on season 1 of the show angel, so I can't really comment there. I can say that while I liked him on buffy, I'm liking him a lot more on angel (at least, so far)

buffy hate I really don't get. I get frustrated by her push/pull thing with spike, but the more I see it the more I think I understand it

spike hate...no, don't get that at all. actually I had the opposite reaction... when he stopped wanting to kill her and started wanting to shag her I really started to like him.

xander's just gets better and better each time I see him too.

Kudos on use of the word shag and I totally agree. :)
- I used to like season 7, I don't so much anymore.
- I used to think Riley was super hot, I don't so much anymore.
- I used to not care about Spike, now I hate him, it's a really intense feeling of hate, it's scary.
- I used to dislike season 5 of Angel, and I don't love it but I think it's better now than what I used to think about it.

I share your feelings. I love them all! But you can't deny they don't get bashed a lot. I wish I can avoid the Xander bashing, it hurts my heart, but I try to ignore it when I see it as much as I can.

Spike used to be one of my absolute favorite characters. Now I can barely watch a scene with him.

Hm, I'm sure there's more, I just can't bring it to mind right now 🙂
