Hey guys, so we've decided to revamp BuffyTV a bit, to try and make it easier for people to follow along.
For anyone that doesn't know BuffyTV is were we watch episodes of the show together each week using your own DVD's or Netflix and discuss them, we had been doing 4 episodes a week, 2 on one night, and 2 on another at a specific time.
I think with time zones and stuff this wasn't really working out, but even when people weren't watching they were interacting, so we're gonna free up the schedule a bit and make it easier.
so now we'll be watching 3 episodes a week, but we'll only schedule some specific episodes together every 2/3 weeks. So each week we'll have 3 episodes to watch, you can watch in your own time, you can post about them in the threads we'll make each week and you can use the hashtag [HASHTAG]#BuffyTV[/HASHTAG] whenever your watching on Twitter and Facebook.
We were about halfway through season 3, so starting from next week (so if you need to catch up you can this week) this is what the schedule will be like:
Week 1 - Starting Aug 12th - Lovers Walk, The Wish, Amends
Week 2 - Starting Aug 19th - Gingerbread, Helpless, The Zeppo
Week 3 - Starting Aug 26th - Bad Girls, Consequences, Dopplegangland
Week 4 - Starting Sept 2nd - Enemies, Earshot, Choices
Week 5 - Starting Sept 9th - The Prom, Graduation day 1&2
So for example this coming Monday week 1 starts, I'll make the thread for all 3 episodes you can watch anytime over the week, come in and post your though (all three episodes are in the same thread, so you dont have to discuss any 1 episode), you can watch 1 a night and post as you watch, or you can watch all 3 it's entirely up to you. If you have twitter you can live tweet with [HASHTAG]#BuffyTV[/HASHTAG] so other can follow along.
Week 2 will be the same, then in week 3, we'll schedule a particular day that week to watch Bad Girls and Consequences and we can watch together and you can watch Dopplegangland in your own time, Week 4 is back to your own schedule and week 5 we'll schedule Graduation Day pt 1&2.
We'll see how this format works out and reevaluate again before we start Season 4, as we'll be starting Angel as well, if you've any thoughts or feedback on the process now, or as we're watching you can post it here 🙂
