I was wondering how everyone felt about her. I really enjoyed seeing her transformation in the Buffyverse from dumb vampire follower to wanna-be reigious nut, to finally running her own homeless teen shelter. I think she's a very cool character that I don't hear people talk much about. Also, a great example of continuity in the 'verse.

So, what do you all think of her? In relation to Buffy? To Gunn? The the "mission" and in relation to the themes of Buffy and Angel?

My mom just finished watching Angel, and she says that she wished Anne had gotten together with Gunn! What do you al think of that? I never thought about it.

Love you all 🙂

I thought it was a nice idea to let a minor character like her cross over like that. It amde perfect sense, because we knew Chanterelle/Lily had taken Buffy's middle name to start a new life in LA, and well, she did. Though I have to admit I didn't really catch her first time I watched. Only after I just coincidentally read it on wikipedia I understood that she was in fact the same person that appeared on Buffy 3 seasons earlier. And then it suddenly really made sense 😛 like, the story she told about how she ran into a real vampire (and who would've thought that that vampire was Spike...they should've let them meet up in that season5 episode Anne appeard in, that would've been funny, I'm sure she wouldn't have forgotten Spike's face 😀)
And well, if you ask me, that's real dedication to a show, to create characters that were basically insignificant for the whole story and let us see the crazy (vampire) world through their eyes.

I think she was interesting in her two stints on Buffy but honestly, on Angel, she really bored me... I'm not a fan of the episodes that feature her (Well except Not Fade Away of course) I don't really know what it is... guess she was just plain boring... plus there was also that one episode where, didn't she kinda backstab Angel or somwething... I just recall her being a total unlikable bitch in one episode....

I haven't seen all the Angel episodes with her, but I do agree with Cangel that its nice to have some minor characters popping up again once in a while, to show what's all happening through their eyes. I didn't really like her, and I didn't really dislike her. It was just interesting to see how her character developped. And yeah, it would be nice to see her and Gunn together 🙂

I think she relates to the basic themes of AtS like redemption, "fighting the good fight", and using the resources you have to make the world a better place. Also the idea that is is possible to create your own identity and place in the world. I think Anne sort of feels like she needs to redeem herself for the stupid things she did when she was younger (Lie To Me). This is where I think Gunn and her are kindred spirits. They both work from the ground up, grassroots style, to make their world, their neighborhoods a better place.

I like her in Anne. And I enjoyed the cross over to Angel and how, even as a minor character, her story had developed.

I love how her character grew. It shows that you don't have to be a member of the Scoobies to be a 'fighter' and that also people do make the best of life.

I recently watched the Chantrelle/Lily/Anne arc in all its glory and its a fantastic set of episodes that actually flow together really well.
