Sarah Michelle Gellar has reported that she originally tried out for the part of "Cordelia" on "Buffy The Vampire Slayer". After watching the show, could anyone imagine SMG as Cordelia? I don't know. She seemed to take on the 'bad girl' part in Cruel Intentions, but I think it might be a stretch for me.

It's said that's she's good as Cordelia and had been originally casted for that role, but Joss had to rethink SMG as Buffy because her image of Buffy was very different from what he wanted. In the end, it all worked out for the best, but maybe she could've played Cordelia...

I think Joss wanted Buffy to be very shy and an outcast, which is not like Sarah at all. They wanted to have a different Buffy than the one we know now...

If you saw her in All My Children like I did, you could definately picture her as Cordelia. I am glad though it didn't turn out that way, Sarah is much better as Buffy.

And that was the reason why she didn't want the role of Cordelia 'cause she had been on AMC couple years doing that kind of role. 🙂 I'm also happy that she finally got the role of Buffy after many auditions... 🙂

I prefer her as Buffy,...Buffy must be with Angel and Sarah and David look great as B&A,..if Sarah weren't be Buffy I would probably be a spuffy by now,I like bangel because the actors make it so belivable,so real,..bangel wouldn't be the same without Sarah,...and anyway I can't picture Sarah kissing Nick

I thought Sarah done the bad-girl thing really well in Cruel Intentions (Love that movie so much, my fave movie of all time. Kathryn Rulez! 😛 lol)...but she is "The One" for playin Buffy in my oppinion and Charisma is "The One" for playin Cordy also.
