Characters that you thought should have done a Harmony

Harmony was one of those characters that started out as nothing more than a background character in a few episodes, gradually built their part in both shows and then eventually became a series lead.

There were a hell of a lot of characters that never got that chance to shine though and that maybe should have done.

The obvious example is Gwen Raiden. I always thought that she was a big missed opportunity although I know a lot of fans didn't like her because they thought she was a little too "superhero" in a supernatural world. I just thought she made a nice change. Plus, very hot! 😉

Also, Bethany Chalk, the telekinetic girl from Untouched. I had a feeling that we would see her again later on in the series but unfortunately she never returned.

A character that I was certain was meant to become at least recurring but actually only ever made a single appearance was Aggie, the psychic friend of Lorne from Over the Rainbow. I don't know why but the scene she appeared in just felt too intentionally written to be just meant as a one off thing. Like this was the first of many times we would be seeing her. I thought she was kinda cool so again it's a shame that she wasn't reused.

Anyone got any others?

i agree with all three :)
I have to say, Aggie was one I felt could have been extended more.
Like you say, something about how she was written and displayed seemed a little too big for a one off.

And again, I agree with both Gwen and Beth. Both had powers and their final moments seemed like breaks before a return.

Jheira(the chick that Angel got 'hot' with) was another. Angel and her connection kinda screamed possible love interest later and honestly, I think that would have been a great direction.

Another character that I feel had a fantastic potential that wasted was Kate Lockley. Her last moments on the show open up some really important questions regarding Angel. the forces guiding him and his mission, and not only is she never seen again, but they are never truly answered.

David Nabbit too. I have no idea why this character was not followed up on. He was obviously interested in Angels world and he had resources they could have used.
He could have been a bit Wesleyish in that his character could have grown so much.
At the very least, it would have been a marvellous turn if David returned in season 5, maybe as someone opposed to Angels choice....hell it would have made some sense if David had designed and built the Cyborgs.

I like the idea that Nabbit was behind the cyborgs. That would have been a great twist.
Seems like Angel had more potential peripherals. I liked Wes' girlfriend, Virginia. She had some great lines.

Lorne's cousin Landok. I have no idea where you'd take that character, but...lol. Like a cross between a caveman and Keanu Reeves (or is that redundant?).

I wish Kate L. had stuck around longer.

Could perhaps have been interesting to see the Dana the psychoslayer gradually work her way out of her psychosis.

I wish she had never shown up!

I always wished we got to see a bit more of Devon, also Cassie Newton, although that would have been a bit difficult but i'm sure they could have worked it out.

Or another appearance from Whistler.

Yeah, they coulda ditched a couple of those Potentials and kept Cassie around...maybe worked her precog ability into the arc or something.

We all really do hate the potentials, don't we? Er, yeah, Cassie should've been kept... but the plot wouldn't accept it, I suppose... and I liked Aggie too.

Mmhm, very hot indeed 😉 Iliked her as a character too, think they could have made something great out of her, ashame they didn't keep her on the show..

I liked Wes' girlfriend, Virginia. She had some great lines.
Me too! She wasn't one of the best characters ever, but I was kind of sad to see her go.. even though I've obviously always been a Wes/Fred shipper, heh..

Mmm I wasso happy to see Azura Skye there (it's hard to explain why but I really like her), and I was glad they brought her back for a second episode, but, yeah, a third and fourth wouldn't have hurt...

Marcie Ross definitely. I always thought she'd come back into it somehow.
There could never be too much of Clea, lol, hmm...

Gwen definatly should of got some more screen time, perhaps as a love interest for Gunn.
Beth well there were rumours of her return weren't there..? that she was the one who would help Angel come to his senses..? ( i may be wrong here) and i wished she did return, there was so much to her character.

They could of done a comic eppy with Angel and Jhiera together the scene where she gets him all hot was funny and watching him trying to avoid it!

Kate should never of left it would of been interesting to find out her reaction to Angel's desision.

Okay, bring on the disagreements but... I really liked Veruca. I wish there were more Veruca. Not like aregular or really even like a Harmony, but it would've been cool to see more of her... maybe if Oz hadn't killed her she could like, appear in some season a long time from then... like Riley did... only much more pleasently. And not married.

Me too. I liked Veruca.

This exchange with Oz was fab.

Veruca : I like to eat. I hate chicks who are like, "does it have dressing on it?"

Oz : (Nods.) Agreed.

It kind of makes me sad that I always forget about her. 🙁
She would've been cool to explore, even if it were as a villian, with her whole "EMBRACE THE BEAST" mentality, it could've made for some awesome viewing. Especially when Riley was all weird about Oz being a werewolf. Can you imagine if Veruca was there too? Coolness.
