Characters that you've changed your opinion on

I used to be indifferent to Tara. Now I love her!

I used to really hate Dawn. Now I only hate her in season 6.

And when I first watched, I loved Angel until season 4 of Buffy. Now I hate him. The more I watch, the more I don't like him.

Oh and I used to love Spike. Now I LJISODJFKLDJFL: REALLY LOVE Spike.
 
Xander: I couldn't stand him S1-7. He was by far my least favorite character....but then when I started to read the comics I actually found his character enjoyable. Now I am looking forward to s9 and the whole Xander's big secret story line.

Willow: I adored the quirky, computer geek, book smart, kind Willow we saw in the early seasons; but quickly grew tired of the self absorbed, power trip Willow we saw later on.

Spike: I can still enjoy the character, but the more re-watches I do and the more I think about the character and his story (or lack thereof) the less I like him.
 
Wesley - I hated him on Buffy, but love him on AtS
Cordelia - I never disliked her on Buffy, but I really came to love her on AtS
Darla - She was lame on BtVS, but had one of the best arcs I've seen so far on AtS
Willow - I went from liking her in the early seasons to really disliking her in S6 and S7
 
Xander for sure. I used to find him annoying and really immature but now as I watch more and more I find him hilarious and very Chandler-ish.

Agreed.

Also for me Wesley. I found him quite annoying on Btvs when he first came around but fell in love with his character once he moved to Ats. Now I adore him in season 3 of Buffy as well bt it didn't start that way.
 
I never really cared for WIllow wayy back in the day but after re-watching it recently she has become one of my favorite characters, along with Tara (Tara probably more-so because she is the definition of being left-out/unoticed). I also liked Cordelia more before she moved to LA and got possessed and turned into a demon woman.
