Charisma Carpenter may star as Lois Lane in Superman!

Superman/Wonderwoman: 'Turncoat' is back again with more on two DC Comic adaptations long in development over at Warner Bros - some old rumours confirmed/denied, along with some new ones brought up. "Superman" - "Still trying to find a cast [flash forward to Thanksgiving 2009...still casting]. As with Superman, there is about 5 candidates for the Lois Lane role at the moment. They are: Selma Blair ("Hellboy"), McG's friend Drew Barrymore, Claire Forlani ("The Medallion"), "Friends" starlet Courteney Cox, and "Buffy"/"Angel" babe Charisma Carpenter.

I also heard that David Boreanaz wanted the role of Superman, but couldn't do it 'cause of his Angel schedule.

He test-screened for Batman but it clashed with Angel. I think it would have been too similar a type of role to Angel anyway. But this news is new today, and this could be huge for Charisma! Especially as she doesn't have an Angel schedule for it to clash with!

Charisma to play Lois Lane?

It's a battle of who will play Lois Lane in the Superman movie. Charisma's competition include Drew Barrymore, Selma Blair, Courtney Cox and Claire Forlani.

It's too bad David Boreanaz can't balance Superman with Angel. I think he'd be awesome at it. Brendan Fraser would be slightly better, and I wouldn't mind seeing David play Batman. Screw Christian Bale.

if charisma gets to her prime weight days...she'll get it ....bar none...she's way hotter than all of those chicks if she gets close to her prime...plus she got that spark...can't find that in any of her competitors...

She obviously does...since Angel she made that TV movie See Jane Date and some guest appearances in Miss Match. She's obviously not avoiding work, and not letting the baby get in the way of her work! She'd be crazy to turn down a role like Lois Lane is a huge movie like this, if she gets offered the part.
