Charisma Carpenter Promoted to Series Regular on The ABC Family show, The Lying Game

Last month, we caught wind that Charisma Carpenter was in talks to return for Season 2 of The Lying Game as a series regular. With the big reveal that her character, Rebecca "Annie" Sewell, was the mother of twins Sutton Mercer and Emma Becker (Alexandra Chando), we were certain things would work out for the former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star.

We were right! Variety reports that Charisma is being promoted to a full-time cast member. The new season of The Lying Game is reportedly set to begin filming in the next week or two in Austin, Texas. When we last left the show, Rebecca's soon-to-be husband Alec Rybak (Adrian Pasdar) was being hauled off in handcuffs on suspicion of murder. According to our spoiler sources, Season 2 will pick up shortly after the ruined nuptials.

Congrats to Charisma! We can't wait to see what juicy plot twists are in store for her character.

Well, this is exciting news. I don't watch the show... but maybe I should.
 
Congratulations Charisma!!!!! I am delighted that she has found another regular spot. I know she has worked steadily if unspectacularly since AtS, but this is great for her.
 
So proud and happy for her. I hope the rest of the cast that hasn't gotten much screen time since the end of the shows do well too.

I've seen it mentioned a few times around the place, is it any good?
 
I've seen adverts for it, and read about it, but this show just doesn't really interest me. Really happy that Charisma's got a regular role though, as people have said, she's a great actress and deserves it 🙂
 
I love this show and can't wait til it returns and I'm really happy she's a regular on the show now, things are really getting interesting and I love her character 🙂
