Does anyone remember when it was that Charisma was in Charmed? I recall her playing a seer? Was it when Angel was on air or after it finished?

Yeah, Charmed lasted for I think two years after Angel was cancelled. It's almost like the WB executives didn't like ultimatums.

Charmed was intentionally ended with season 8, they almost didn’t get the final season, which is why season 7 was almost a series finale and plays like a series finale, as well.
Charisma is so good in the episodes she guested in. She also played with Holly (Piper) in a movie for ABCfamily around the same time. They are still really close today!
A year after she guested in Charmed, she had a recurring role on Veronica Mars too! And she had her long hair back in both shows and it just suits her so much better than the short hair she did for seasons 2-4 of Angel.
… which is why season 8 doesn’t really work. Season 7 was a better wrap up, and how it ended makes for a very weird and tricky start to season 8.
I would say it was intentionally ended in s7, forced back to life for s8. If they could’ve forced the cast they probably would’ve dragged it out even more.
But Charisma is actually great on it, even I like her as her character there, I mean, it isn’t miles from Cordelia and I think it was the third time Charmed went ”oh look here is THE seer”, but the character is cute and charming, but a bit under-utilized. She deserved a longer arc just for the breath of fresh air she brought to the show and cast.

Yes, and the budget was severely cut for season 8. And the main girls didn’t want to be doing as much during that season. It was a cluster.
I agree! She would have been a better fourth cast member than Kaley Cuoco in the 8th season. I didn’t love Billie’s take over of all the storyline in season 8.
They should have done a Billie spin-off immediately really, with cameos from the mains, but oh well. Budget wise that is.
I think Charisma should've had a longer arc in season 7, not become a fourth though. The network clearly wanted a "young" starlet to attract a younger audience, I actually like Billie and her plots (more so than the Halliwells) as she reminds me of Phoebe season 1, back when she was still likeable. I just though her initial introduction was pretty dumb and super-girl-esque, which felt meh... it was clearly the network trying to be young and hip, and not focusing on what might actually attract "the kids". But ain't it always so when networks try to control too much.
CC might've been a cool recurring character, but not a lead.

My problem with it is that for the final season, it should have been about the sisters, and not the side character. I liked the idea of them showing a younger generation the ropes, but Billie's storyline became the main story, and it was at the expense of Piper, Paige and Phoebe's stories. The sisters became so unbearingly selfish in that season, and it takes away from the heart of their story. And then Christy's introduction just tanked the rest of the story.
You're right. I could see Charisma's character being a friend that they turn to every now and then.
Sad, I just realized it is fun to see CC on Charmed because she seems to genuinely enjoy herself, and I guess that hadn’t been the case on Angel for a while by then :/
