Sylvester Stallone must watch Angel. First he scooped up Jule Benz for Rambo whatever, and now he's snagged Charisma Carpenter for his next one. And the old wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin too.

Sylvester Stallone has added a fan favorite wrestler and a Playboy pinup veteran of Joss Whedon productions to the mix for his next action-adventure The Expendables. Variety reports that WWE alum "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Charisma Carpenter ("Angel", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") have joined the cast of the merc film, which was written and will be directed by Sly.

The two join a growing cast which includes Sylvester Stallone, Forest Whitaker, Eric Roberts, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Dolph Lungdren, Mickey Rourke and a cameo by Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Plot Concept: The story follows a team of mercenaries on a mission to overthrow a South American dictator.

Pretty much ANYTHING with the words ' Stone Cold Steve Austin' attached to it will make me watch, but this actually looks like something I would like without the WWE connection. The trailer looks awesome, and I will definitely be in line at the cinema when this hits the screens.

same here about the stone cold steve austin. The movie was pretty good.
That awesome, heard about this movie a while ago and the cast sounded kick ass (literly) so this just made it better!
 
I'm stoked for this film.

Stallone wants to make it a trilogy, will more action stars to come on board.
 
Saw this and CC is great, still looks wonderful, just wish she'd been given more to do (only has about 15 lines), she should have been in the party scene at the end. Reputedly Julie Benz recommended her to Sly for the role.

Although you rather get the idea her character is attracted to violent men, to the abusive basketball playing jerk and to Lee who is also a violent man but harnesses and focuses his violence (much like Mack and Tiffy on The Unit)
 
Ok, not my type of movie at all, I got really bored just looking at the trailer, but I stuck with it to see the Charismaflash. 🙂 Probably going to see the movie because of her too 🙂
 
I heard Stallone say in an interview that he "thought about" asking Norris or Van Damme to come on board, but for whatever reason, never could work them in.

She has a very small part, just thought i'd warn you otherwise you might be disappointed.
 
I'm gonna have to check this film out, an action packed cast already, but especially since Charisma is in it 🙂
 
I'd say that the movie is more or less what you (should) expect it to be. You know what you get. It was good to see CC but not like it was much of her.

Most fun was seeing Stallone, Bruce and Arnold together in the same scene.

She looked great, but her screentime was limited.

Loved when Basketball jerk got what was coming to him.
