Charisma speaks about her departure from Angel!

oh that's so nice to see, thanks for posting this. I've often wondered how Charisma felt about it cause you could really feel how strained her acting was in season 4 and why wouldn't it be, y'know? she got royally screwed.
But she's right at the end too "hell of a way to go" 😀

and aw, Julie B. can't ever see enough of her 🙂

Just watched the other videos, they are all awesome, I think this is my favourite cast interview I've ever seen!

She makes loads of jabs at the whole connor thing in the videos.

She also really knows her stuff, she makes loads of refrences which show she knows small details which is cool, like James forgot the character of Anya's name!

Funniest bit was in this video, skip to 3.00

They were aksed what was their favorite character evolution, and Charisma says, "Well when you give birth to a 6'2 african american women..."
And Julie is like "Isn't that my granddaughter!

Both of those ladies are actually hilarious, I had no idea they were so funny!

Yeah, Julie and Charisma seem to be close. There also was a video of them the day after where Kristy and Julie are talking amongst themselves while Charisma is answering a question. She turns to them and says "Hey!" and Kristy laughs and says, "Excuse much rude or anything?" Nobody seemed to get that was one of Movie Buffy's lines though. I thought it was cute. LOL

Another part I like is when Charisma says something a long the lines of a show like this not coming along very often and Julie says, "Well, I have Dexter." Then Charisma says, "Whatever!" I really enjoyed watching this. It was hilarious. Although, it was a little awkward for Kristy Swanson there seeing as nobody asked any questions about the Buffy movie. It was even more awkward when she said she's never watched the Buffy series. I was like..... okay, then why are you there? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Kristy Swanson but she was definitely out of place.

YOU would have been better on that panel then Kirsty Swanson! She was like a slightly dim sore thumb! She really annoyed me throughout the whole thing
I remember these videos from a couple of months back. They are hilarious I love James mouthing off a producer on Angel who he couldn't even say hello to anymore as he thought he would hit him. Charisma is so funny and charming all at the same time. I've always loved how she answers the questions of her departure on Angel.

Charisma appeared at a college yesterday and mentioned that she felt Cordy never got the chance to fully develop as a character.

Based on these interviews, I sure hope she knows that she's back in the mix in the canon as of After the Fall.

I also thought that her reaction to Andy Hallett's death was a little odd. Based on what she said, the guy must have phrased the question horribly, but it's kind of strange that she didn't give much of a comment on her co-star of four-years. Especially in light of Mark Lutz (Groosalug) going as far as publishing a lengthy essay and photo-journal about his dear friend Andy...

Is there a video of that? That article was kind of poorly written... and I, too, want to know why she said what she did about Andy!

Let me know if you find one. All I saw was the article. I hope there's a video out there... :)
It seems like she either wasn't close to Andy at all or that the whole thing is still very emotional. It does seem from the way it's written as they didn't get along at all. I hope that's wrong but not everyone gets along.

OMG, I feel so sorry for her... And think she was the "second choice" since they wanted Sarah to do the special appearance...

I don't think Charisma meant any harm in answer to the question. Maybe she just didn't want to divulge in to it because it was possibly something private for her. I can't imagine Charisma getting mean on purpose over Andy's death. By the way she finished it I think she was making it clear that she was saddened by it all but wanted to talk about other things relative to Buffy and Angel and not a cast member passing away last year.

In another interview I read, Charisma spoke extremely highly of Andy. I'm guessing the question here must have been inappropriate for her to respond like that, because she really did like the guy according to what i've seen. Can't remember what interview it was, but i can try to find it...

Ok I found it, it's from 411mania.com. Here's the part about Andy:

Al Norton: I was wondering if you could talk a little about what it was like to work with Andy Hallett.

Charisma Carpenter: Working with Andy was the biggest ball of fun ever. He had the funniest expressions; he wouldn't say "shit", he'd say, "oh, balls." He just was not the average bear. He was a total original in the way he saw things and his expressions were totally unique. He laughed a lot when I was there. I wasn't there for the last year and I understand there were a lot of physical issues in terms of his make up that created problems for him. All I remember is a really genuinely funny guy. One time I was having a get together at my house and he came and brought me these really beautiful shoes. He said, "I bought these for you because I thought you should have them. They would look so beautiful on you so you should have them." That's not a normal guy. He was a really special human being.

Wanted to link the full article, but i can't since i'm still new. It's actually pretty good, I especially like the part where's she's explaining how she got her role in the Expendables. If anyone wants to read it just google "Charisma Carpenter 411 Mania". Should be the first one.
