Charisma upset?

I've heard or seen several things on the board about Charisma being upset at the end of last season because she felt she was treated badly, or something to that extent. Could someone please explain to me what happened or at least what we know? It's been a long time since I was on the boards, so thanks in advance for catching me up on this! 🙂
 
Don't remember where but I just read recently that she was as surprised and disapointed as many of us that her character was left in that coma.
 
i guess they couldnt pay to charisma cuz james was on the show.they asked her to be like harmony or something like that,not a regular and she said no cuz she felt like betrayed or sth like that,she has been on the show since the beggining and didnt like the idea of being replaced by james.
 
I can imagine her being upset about it, but i like that James is on the show now 🙂 aww i feel bad for her!
 
This is what I heard:

Turns out that Joss asked her to step down. Joss even said he was thinking that (if there is a next season) she will be back.

Fury was reported as saying that there was no where absolutely to go with her at this point that wasnt to 1) make her shippy with Angel (which didnt get recieved well at all by the masses and they actually got hate mail) or 2) Make her character fall into even more evil.

Personally, I say she has every right to be angry and upset. Joss did treat her very badly, she didn't even find out that she wasn't going to be in the 5th Season until she read the Newspapers.
 
I think thats stupid, she shouldnt of ever got n the position to go evil, its stupid, she did the same amount of hard work as David, been there exactly the same time and then they make her evil. She put in the hard work, in the hours and hen she gets kickied out. very stupid.
 
I would've rather seen her get more shippy, 'cause I think it's unfair how they're in love for over two seasons and never actually get together.
 
Thats mean and ignorant. Charisma is a great actress and Cordelia is a great character as well. She has been on Buffy and Angel since the beginning. It's so not fair.
 
from what I can gather from reading stuff around the net the whole season 4 *thing* was awful. Apparently SR got all upset as well... it's horrible. I really do feel for Charisma but her career is moving in leaps and bounds- can't wait to see her in Miss Match in the UK which begind 11th Feb. woo!

Oh as for the cordy thing, what they did to her last season was a bad move on all accounts she just hasn't been cordy for the past season and a half 🙁
 
It's a shame that Charisma got kicked off because of James. I like James and all that but maybe at the end of S5 Cordy should come back and stake Spike! That'll cause upset, and isn't going to happen but ah well.
 
Charisma did not get kicked off because of James.

She had some problems to deal with durign Season3(thus Cordelia left for like 3 episodes) and Joss told her to fix it or buh bye. And in Season4 Joss decided to put the pregnancy into the show and then came to the conclusion that he couldnt do anything more with the charecter so he basically fired her even though she wanted to stay on.
 
I've read many things about the situation but until I hear it exactly from one of their two mouthes I'm just going to call it all speculation. I think Charisma should have taken some time off, she should be with her baby in the early days of whatever. But I'd like to see her back for season 6, because by saying they didn't have ANYWHERE to go with her is just lazy on the writers part,

ideas on what they could have done with her...spoilers for season 5...more or less. i put in grey cuz thats what it's like on my style, but if you can read it and don't want to be spoiled then don't read it






I mean she still has visions, the reprecussions of being evil, her take on the W&H set up, would she remember Conner? a growing hate?friendship? with Harmony. Her evil thoughts on Eve. and just generally helping out. They could have done something with her. And it's not like they needed to worry about too much cast, because they got rid of Conner (who played a big part in season 4) and brought in Spike, so there is defiantely still room for her.
 
Joss has already said he felt he brought Cordy to her fullest in an interview, and Charimsa has already stated that she wants to move on with her carrer so we wont be seeing tha tmuch of Cordy.
