While I agree that making a Buffy movie without Joss would almost certainly result in a different interpretation of both the character and the way that she is presented, I can't say at this moment that the end product is going to be necessarily bad simply because of that difference. I realize that all of the old cast and crew, or at least the ones who have voiced an opinion on the subject, have been basically unanimous in their support of Joss and his retaining creative control of his character, it seems to me that that is really all that it is: loyalty to Joss. That's certainly commendable, but he isn't the only writer or director in the business, or even, blasphemous as it may sound when I say it, the best. He assembled a group of actors to portray a group of characters who touched someplace very special in each and every one of our hearts. That is a fact that I don't think that anyone here would care to deny, any more than we would deny that there can never be another Buffy like Sarah, Giles like Tony, Spike like James, and so on. But since apparently none of those characters are going to be portrayed in the proposed movie, even Buffy, since this is supposed to be a total reboot, none of "our" characters are under any threat whatsoever.

I intend to see the movie and let it stand or fall on its own merits. I may end up hissing at the screen and throwing popcorn just like I did at Jeff Bridges' Rooster Cogburn, but I'm gonna at least give it a fair shot at entertaining me before I do.

I think she's probably my favourite 'famous' person ever. Everything I read of her just seems so real. Exactly like the kind of thing that I would say. "It'd be so much better if it had Cordy!" Gold!

I kind of wish that they would all stop whinging about it now though... I'm feeling a bit over all the talk about it.
 
I hate to sound like a luddite but I dont 'do' twitter so maybe my navigation of the site is not up to par but going to the whedonverse site and following their links and what not, I still could not really ascertain who said what. I thought the one person that asked the question was the one that said the stupid no Josh comment. I am confused. I hate twitter!

Anything inside the quote marks is what the poster of the RT (re-tweet) is replying to, meaning it's said by the original tweeter.
 
The quote marks confused me because I only saw one.. so the @ doesnt mean that that person is being 'talked at?' like @knuckleberry_that_doesn't_know_anyting would be what I was saying even though the @ symbol was in front of me name? But that just seems backwards to me! Oh good heaven above I feel so stupid! OH!! is it like an address?? like twitter@knuckleberry? I think I get it now... wow.. buffyverse is edumacational
 
It's so scary how VERY Cordelia that response was. 😀 I think I sort of love Charisma. And, much agreement to said comment as well 🙂

@ is used as a link, so that you know the next words/letters/numbers are someone's twitter name.

So the quote marks start before the @ before the fan's name and end after the Cordy line. Charisma starts speaking at the word 'stupid'.
 
Oh Lyri, I love you for 'splaining that! I don't get Twitter either, although I often love reading various celebrity Twitter links.
 
LMFAO@Charisma... I love how she had the balls to outright call it stupid. LOL
I don't know for sure that the plot WILL be stupid; I just no I have no interest in seeing it if the characters from the TV show won't be in it.
