Charlton Heston Dies

For those of you who might have been fans and have not heard, Charlton Heston has died. He was always one of my personal favorite actors, from "The Greatest Show On Earth," "Ben Hur," "The Ten Commandments," and all of his other roles. He was the one of last of the big studio stars, and his death marks the end of a generation.

RIP Chuck. I had a great deal of admiration for the man, and I'm sorry to see him go, but at least his suffering is over.

I thought the same thing lol.

I gotta say I didn't like him, honestly I don't know that much about him and it was from watching that Bowling for Columbine, which I know was biased but still going through with that Gun Meeting thing after what happened there I just though; Idiot.

It's possible to acknowledge someone's talent without agreeing with their politics. Heston was a talented actor, the star of many varied movies that are classics today: "The Ten Commandments," "Ben Hur," "El Cid," "The Warlord," "The Buccaneer," "The President's Lady," are all movies the like of which will probably never be equaled by a single actor again. There are a lot more than NRA members and political conservatives who will mourn his passing.

Oh thank god other people think the same thing!

My mother mentioned it over the weekend and I said the same thing back!

It's sad he's dead for everyone that was a fan, and okay the suffering is bad, we all get that. But the guy wasn't one of my idols, infact I detested the guy and everything he stood for and I think some of the choices he made in later life (like a NRA meeting so soon after Columbine for example) we absolutely digusting, never mind the fact that I disagree completely with virtually EVERYTHING he stood for.
