So I watched Charmed pretty much the whole way through on the first airings, more off than on towards the end. I recall enjoying it first but I really think I continued watching more out of habit than anything else. I have this thing where I can't just quite TV shows even if I'm not its #1 fan anymore, I have to see how it plays out. I started watching it cause I was a Shannen fan from 90210 and as a kid I wanted to be Samantha Macelli from Who's the Boss and I was so excited that Alyssa was going to be in something new. I kept watching after Shannen left because of the habit thing and cause I am a Rose McGowan fan so I was curious how she'd fit in in that world... although I remember at the time being very shocked that she was going to be doing a TV show, I'd hoped for a film career for her.
Charmed is entertaining, I wouldn't have watched it for 8 seasons if it wasn't. Overall quality though it just can't compare to a show like Buffy or Angel. The writing wasn't great, not awful but not great, it could get a bit cheesetastic. Sometimes I thought they must have had a really low budget cause their villians and FX always seemed so blah and generic... I remember dreading them spending too much focus and time on the Underworld (?) stuff
Come to think of it I can't even remember now what happened in the series finale... hmmm. But episodes I enjoyed, don't know ep names but, I liked the one where they all had evil versions of themselves, I liked the Utopia episode where they gave up their magic cause they thought it was going to be all perfect but it went all screwey.... thats all I can think of right now
