Charmed Remake of BTVS Season 7

Why whats happening, im from the UK and i really want to know, are the haliwells leading an army or witches against demons because i've always wanted that to happe, i wanted it to happen in s7 of buffy too- i thought the coven could come and fight with the slayers because that would have been really good!!! 🙂lol

Ugh! Charmed is a big wannabe of all shows anyway, to avoid the fact that it started sucking when Prue died...

Im sick of bleedin Charmed crap...

Why would a group of witches, who are probably more experienced and talented than the Halliwells, follow them?

Right now, some FBI agent is warning them about "a major force of evil" that is on the horizon. Sounds suspicously like the coming of the First Evil.

I haven't read myself into Charmed's season 7 since I refuse to watch the show anymore. I don't find it entertaining anymore, I just find it lacking in more ways than one... But seriously, if a group of witches are going to build an army against some demons with the Charmed Ones... I'm not even gonna watch when Charisma is on. Charmed is totally out of ideas and goes on others instead. Why not just end the show?

Personally, I love Buffy's season 7 and I would be very very angry if Charmed made a parody of it by making a similar storyline at Charmed...

Ugh! Thank you Eowyn!

At least someone hasnt been brainwashed by that awful show!

I think its good, i agree that sometimes they copy a lot of storylines, but it don't really bother me because well its just a show, i dont take it seriously, unlike with buffy and angel where i take them deadly seriously and f you where to ask me what my favourite show of the three was, it wouldnt be charmed!!! lol

I have yet to see a similarity with Buffy and Charmed : scratch I love both shows and I wouldn't watch one if it was copying the other. And so far I there is nothign that could show that Charmed is copying any. Sure a big evil, but what show doesn't have one? Has any dead people been shown planning evil : scratch I don't think so. They've always had big evils, so its nothing new. *shrugs*

I like your enthusiasm! :)
The Elders keep saying, "a new powerful evil is rising and we need everyone back in the fold if we're gunna stop it."

oh! and anyone notice how they keep saying, "the great evil power needs power so it can fight and stuff?" doesn't that kinda sound like the first wanting to open the hellmouth so it can become corporial?

because it still pulls in the ratings and they dont give TheWB a hard time.

Im hoping that this is their last season, they have used up all of their 9 lives IMO.

and Buffy and Charmed have had plenty of similar episodes, and shared actors/actresses.

But this is supposely what the writers are gearing for in Season7:
Introducing a new Source like figure, if it is truly the ressuruction of the/a Source than it will probably lead to big all out battle.

For those who dont follow Charmed: Source=Source of All Evil

Ugh. Charmed and Buffy do not even belong in the same league. They might have at some point, but certainly not anymore. ::mourns Prue::

Nearly every single episode seems to be a rip-off of something, even if it's an earlier episode of Charmed. I still watch the show out of some twisted sense of loyalty, but I don't go out of my way to see it.

As for a big evil brewing, that's really kind of typical, I'd say. Any shows that deal with those types of elements would have to, at some point, contain a great big evil for everyone to fight.

I hear they're contracted for at least another season. Oh dear lord, what next, the Charmed Ones take on the dinosaurs?

Well Leo and Chris took on a dinosaur and chris is a continuation of the charmed line, a future charmed one so they already sort of have lol

I have tried to get into Charmed, but I find it a little more complex, but not as good as Buffy.

With Buffy, you can start watching in in season 3, like I did, and become a fan...but Charmed seemed cheesy, boring in parts, and it seemed to have too many little vital plots that you need to know.

Even with the complicated relationships in Buffy, I could pick it up, but with Charmed I just couldn't.

The monsters in Charmed are not as real either, which takes away the whole effect.

I've watched Charmed since season two, and adored every episode -- that is until season five and six came along. My interest died down, I wasn't as obssessed as I had been before. But then I read about Buffy, saw a rerun of The Gift on a local station, and started buying the DVDs. For some reason, I guess Buffy replaced my interest in Charmed for a while.

But this season (7), I beleive that Charmed is somewhat starting to build back off of what it once was (but will never be again; the damage is done, too many consequencial mistakes). I don't really see how Charmed is copying from Buffy, just many many many other things such as episode titles (too many parodies!), some of the episode plots, and even the recylced WB actors. But I'm actually looking forward to this "threat", and don't think it's copying Buffy at all.

If every show that had a "big bad" or a "threatening evil power" come, then they'd all be copying Buffy, or even the first show to introduce that. But yeah, in a way the shows are all copying each other, but adding their own unique and zest to the character, I just think this is one of Charmed's attempts to build suspense (which is something that has been lacking for quite a while).

Chris isnt a future CharmedOne since the CharmedOnes were part of a Prophecy. And Chris is just a son of a CharmedOne, thats about all. He isnt part of any prophecies that we know of, isnt part of a trio that you need for the Power of 3, he is just a whitelighter-witch that knows how to orb, has tk and be annoying as an adult.

Sure the whole building to a big bad is nice and new for Charmed but its going abit slowly, and ofcourse they still going out of continuity which is annoying and they totally screwed up the Elders 100%, I mean if the elders have all this power and were willing to use it against one of their own this season how come they didnt defend themselves from the titans but needed to create the gods inorder to stop them. They seriously just need to go back to having the elders be unseen and unheard only talked about.

I'm sorry but that show is just too corny for me.

Season 1 & 2 were great and Season 3 was good as well. But the rest? Eh. Not feelin' it.

The episode titles that appear on the promos, so corny (Smallville even tried that and it didn't work out, huge fan backlash).

I wonder if this is the last season for Charmed?

Something hit me (not a rock), thinking about what Epo wrote regarding BtVS s7 in a swedish community.
Since Willow became this mighty powerful wicca, BtVS has been evolving more and more around magicks and spells and stuff. Not that I mind some dark mojo, but it was fun when the gang used to meet up with those demons mano-to-mano. And this, being very clear in s6 and s7 (in larg parts thanks to Willows addiction of magic), reminds me of Charmed, where everything is solved with some good ole witch power and some dull spells.
I'm not saying Joss though "Hey, let's make Buffy more like Charmed," I'm saying this might add a bit to the similarities.
BUT; yes s7 of Charmed (not that I've seen it but mostly read about it) seems to be lacking of good ideas and since the plot for the end of BtVS s7 is such a good one and really a classic, It wouldn't surprise me if the makers of the show admitted that they've drawn inspiration from BtVS.

He's of the charmed line, all their kids are and will be, we know this because it says in one episode that the charmed line wont end with us, which means the charmed line is going to continue and get more powerful with every generation, as we have already seen with wyatt

S7 of Charmed is nothing like Buffy's S7, certainly jumping the gun. Both shows are marvellous and ofcourse there are similarities there are similarities all over the place with shows, Charmed rocks and will continue too. It is far better now with Paige.

Damn straight. I don't like Shannon, but I loved Prue.

It does seem like Charmed is walking in Buffy's shadow. (I stopped watching after 4th season...I've recently watched again because of CC)
