Really tried to watch charmed but thought that it kinda sucked. Seemed a bit tacky in places and the fact that the girls could all teleport and had such an array of powers made the villians a bit useless and the perils a lot less periloius than say...buffy!btvs and angel rule and i dont want to annoy anyone but i really dont like charmed.sorry.

I never thought that Charmed was about anything more than the interaction of the girls, the magic is usually secondary. The show just happens to have 3 girls that are growing up with some strange powers. I dont think that someone like Joss would do the show justice, he would probably put more focus on the the magic and sci-fi aspect which would lose the greatness of the show.
Take a look at this season, clearly the writers have been obsessed with silly thems, i.e. the attack of the bleached blondes (or dirty blondes I dont remember) or their season opener where they become valkeryies (or whatever).
Looking back at the show from season 1 episode 1 the show was centrally not about magic.
Hopefully next season will get back to character focused episodes.

hmmm Charmed.....
I loved the show during its first 3 years with Shannen Doherty and Constance M. Berge, thats when I thought it was at the top of its game and was just wow, espically season3 which blew me away with basically every episode. I think that Shannen was a great director of all 3 episodes that she directed espically All Hell Brakes Loose which I think is the greatest Season finale ever.
Then in Season4 it started out really well with Charmed Agian but then the season came to much about Phoebe and Cole, and I think that season4 shouldve been about Paige and getting to know her and her charecter.
Season5 was just eck to me, the writers did a horriable job I think on that season, it only had like 4 good episodes out of 23, it seemed to disney for me. But I was glad that they got rid of Cole since by the last half of Season4 they totally screwed his charecter up.
Season6 so far has been an improvement from Season5 but im not finding it all that great, it had some ok episodes, but the writers just keep on getting all those big inconsisitys(sp), its like none of them have watched S1-3 or they just want us to forget about the first 3 years of Charmed as if they basically never happened. Now we have witches who shimmer, witches who throw energy balls, they changed empathy from what it origanlly was in Season3, TheWB tries to make Charmed look as a sex show or a comedy with its stupid trailers.
The season finale sounds great though.
As for charecters:
Prue is my favorite charecter, she just had so many dynamics to her, and she didnt always act like the eldest sister.
Piper was totally sweet and lovable during S1-some of 4, and I liked how in S1-3 she was somewhat shy but had her strong moments but now I find her to be a bit to *****y as the eldest sister and I just think that she doesnt fit the role that well. And her *****ing about wanting a normal life has gotten tiredsome, espically after Season4 since she got the chance to live a normal and happy life.
Phoebe oh how I used to love her when she was the youngest of the 3, but Phoebe S5-6 have totally sucked IMO most of the time, she doesnt take a lot of things seriously, shes gone from loving magic to not wanting to be around it, she moves away from her sisters with a guy shes known less then a year basically,and her wardrobe has totally gone down in quality.
Paige is a good charecter, shes the youngest but she acts more mature then now middle sister Phoebe, she is enjoyable, sometimes annoying in S6 with her constantly wanting to go out and do things solo but then needs her sisters so she almost gets them killed. But its nice to see her go back to brunette.
Im not really a fan of Chris so..im hopeing he will leave after season6.
Wyatt is alittle annoying, he rarely acts like a normal baby and they gave TO MUCH POWER, he is like 1 and has 10 powers basically. Stronger then the charmedones which is ridiculous.
And right now the show has been focusing to much on Wyatt and Chris and not on the girls.
I see the show as going from a show about sisters who find out they witches and have to deal with it in their every day normal lives, to witches who happen to be related but act more like soroiety friends then sisters oh they also have supernatural powers.
I hope that Season7 will improve from S5-6 but highly doubtful so I hope that Season7 will be the last.
They need to seriously bring back Shannen so she can improve the show or atleast bring back Constance and let her take over for Brad Kern.

I argree with everything Primal Slayer said. I miss the old charmed. Prue, Piper, and Phoebe. Prue was the greatest. Piper was so much cooler, and Phoebe loved what she did. The newer ones are stupid. I hope it ends next season.

This one was pretty entertaining, IMO. I liked how Gideon managed to both fool the baddies and the Halliwells at the same time and the way he kept himself ahead of the others when it seemed he would get caught. Of course, he's going to get caught in the end (you know how the writers work that in 🙄 ). Anyway, do any of you can see adult Chris coming back after this season? FYI, I'm basically unspoiled for the season finale, so I'm going with this by assumption.
Liked the bit of tension between Paige and Phoebe. It didn't seem forced for a change. Piper made the most of the few scenes she were in.
