Charmed

I've watched Charmed since the first episode. My fave seasons are 1, 2, 3 and 6. I thought the show got kind of bad after season 3. Season 5 was really cheesy and awful. I enjoyed season 6 because the focus of the show was put on Piper and her family and I loved adult Chris.
 
I watch Charmed on tnt reruns. It's really funny how they practically stole tons of Buffy storylines/episodes. Such as Earshot and funnily enough the guy who played the Mayor on Buffy actually guested on their version of earshot.
 
It's hard to make something totally original though. I mean you could also say Life Serial was a ripoff of the Charmed epi Deja Vu All Over Again in a way since the day kept repeating because of magic. The Charmed episode you're talking about is Primrose Empath. Prue develops the powers of an empath and is able to feel what other people are feeling, and it becomes too much for her. I do see the similarities to Earshot (Buffy reads people's thoughts and it becomes too much for her) but it's not like this hasn't been done in other shows. I mean check out Star Trek: The Next Generation's episode that Harry Groener is also in called Tin Man. He played an empath/telepathic being and human thoughts and emotions became too much for him. That episode aired in about 89' or 90'.
 
there are actually a few simualr episodes between buffy and charmed... such as said the Earshot and Primrose Empath and in this episode the canteen lady that was the bad guy well in this case girl was in Primrose Empath and played a nurse in the mental hospital and these are the two eps which are simular and she was in each one.... also i think it was charmed who copied buffy for this one but in buffy its like spike has a soul (vampire with soul) and then in charmed they were talking about cole and saying he had a soul even though he is demon ???? also Life Serial and Deja Vu All Over Again are the same as ~DAWN ~ mentioned.. so there are heaps.. and yes the principal snyder out of buffy plays the wizard in season 4 of charmed and also in season 5 of buffy glory and i think his name is Ben?? well he is also in charmed... the ep where it goes back to paiges past life as the evil enchantress.. well i think it is funny how you have watched buffy ever since it started and then you see them in other tv shows and movies and it doesnt look right!
 
im not up to the new episodes... ***sob*** god i am so cranky with channel 10 they stopped showing charmed and oz is only up to season 7.... and evryone else is up to season 8.. i am so friggin pis#ed!!!
 
Well, Charmed always seemed to me like it didn't really have anything substantial to offer the audience. I watched it for a while, back when Prue was on it. I can't stand the acting and storylines are horrible. Maybe it's because I practically grew up on Buffy, so my standards of TV are higher now because of it. I dunno...I caught a few eps that only had to do with elves and fairies and that kind of thing, and I was like, "WTF?" It was insanely annoying.

Meh, I dunno. Charmed can be strangely addicting at times, sometimes it just makes me want to rip my eyeballs out of my head and feed them to my dog.
 
Yeah, back when Prue was alive, those episode sucked more...
Now, Charmed is mainly them adjusting to normalcy.

Buffy did raise the standards.. That kind of kills any other shows though so that sucks a bit.
 
Yeah, I don't know the plot off hand, though I can go get it for you if you wish. But, a demon puts Leo in some sort of magical trap and if the sisters fail a test Leo dies... and they do. I can look for the whole plot and stuff if you want.
 
ok, i have a question...i live in the UK so S8 hasn't started airing yet, but have you guys in the States found out who Billie really is yet?
i'm the kinda gal who loves spoilers, so if someone could pm me if you know, that'd be great!
 
Billie is really just a new witch. She's a college student who recently discovered she has powers. Her power is telekinesis. She's invented a new way of scrying that matches the internet with magic. Her sister was kidnapped by a demon when they were young. She feels in her heart that her sister is alive and is trying to find her. The Charmed Ones are using her for the brunt of demon fighting, that way they're not risking exposure as much.
 
ive been watchin charmed everyday all most whenever i can i love it. me and my sister have a battle on what we are gonna watch if its charmed.

charmed rocks get over it b/cuz it so much cooler then u and u know it =)' 😵
 
Charmed is my all time favourate show, i have been watching it since i was around 6-8 years old 🙂
My favourate character is Piper, she is just so funny, and cares for her family and is just someone who would do anything for another person.
My favourate season is without a doubt season 3, not only were there so many good episodes, but there was maybe 2 episodes i wasn't keen on, and that's it!
My favourate episode of all time would probably be a tie between Chick Flick and Mortality Bites.

Charmed has been one of my favourite shows since it started, however the last 2 seasons haven't been the best and i am starting to have my reservations about the show. I am still a huge fan and i am enjoying Season 8, although Billie is becoming increasingly annoying and to me it seems as if they want to do a Power of 4 instead of 3.

I love Piper she has to be my all time favourite sister. I also loved Prue.

What does everyone think of season 8?
 
I love Charmed. I was more into it between Seasons 1 - 3 and that has nothing to do with the death of Prue, since I prefer Paige anyway. I just thought the plotlines were better at the beginning.

My favourite character would have to be Phoebe and I'm a huge fan of Cole and Phoebe as a couple. But I do feel their relationship was spoiled towards the end.

I think Piper has the best powers though. They totally kick ass...lol..And my favourite season has to be season 3 🙂
