This season has been really good, and I'm glad that once Buffy finishes that at least I still have Charmed and Angel to look forward to next year. 😀

I can't wait to see Piper have her baby -
boy are they in for a shock! I think Piper should have gone for an ultrasound before assuming it was going to be a girl. 😉 Didn't they realise that they changed the future when they went forward in time to save Phoebe being burned at the stake!? Obviously they've just took it for granted that because they had a daughter in 'that' future, that they are expecting a little girl! Hope their little boy will look good in pink. 😀😀

SOTA - "Charmed" Action Figures Announced

Collectors to get "Charmed" in 2004!

Move over Angelina "Lara Croft" Jolie, Tomb Raider's heroine isn't the only femme fatale that S.O.T.A. is producing in action figure form! The heroines of the weekly TV show "Charmed" will get immortalized by the company next February.

SOTA president Jerry Macaluso previously worked on "Charmed" in his capacity as the head of special effects company, S.O.T.A. F/X. "The last (episode) we did, (the characters) got turned into little statues. We made little statue versions of them," he explains.

For S.O.T.A.'s "Charmed" action figure collection, the actresses were scanned from head to toe, and -- in contrast to the company's "Tomb Raider" toys -- "These won't be highly articulated. I love (MAC's Clayburn Moore's work), but this is my call out to Clay in a very fun, friendly, 'hopefully everything gets better in terms of quality' way. I want to kick Clay's butt. The first line won't (include former "Charmed" actress) Shannon Doherty. That's not to say we won't do her. It'll be the three witches (in the current cast) and then somebody else."

A "Charmed" Year for 2004
SOTA, who is producing the new Lara Croft: Tomb Raider figures, will take on 3 more beauties this February when they release their new "Charmed" action figures! The first series will include Phoebe, Paige, Piper and one other character (not yet named). Although Shannon Doherty's character is not scheduled to be part of the first go around, she may be added to a later assortment.

I used to watch it on and off just because I like anything with witchcraft/mythology/etc, but it stopped holding my interest around last fall. I liked Cole, though. Julian McMahon was really talented and always stood out.

Review of new set of Charmed trading cards, released last month

http://www.figures.com/databases/ac...egory=actionfigures&topic=6&show_article=1154

There's magic in "Charmed: The Power of Three"

New cards provide an unusual, effective overview of the hit series .

It'll be several months until SOTA releases its initial assortment of action figures based upon the cast of "Charmed," but there's magic in the air for fans of the show. Inkworks' new "Charmed: The Power of Three Ultra-Premium Trading Cards" offers a generous collection of photos, facts, autographs and keepsakes.

I will confess, I was a bit unsure of what to expect as I opened packs. Unlike most card series which offer photographs on the front and lots of text on the reverse, "Charmed: The Power of Three" opts for a different presentation.

The basic set consists of 72 cards. The fronts present crisp screen-captures and publicity shots on a shiny, metallic paper stock. A rich assortment of mystical symbols and phrases serve as borders. Flip 'em over and things get interesting.

The backs of the first nine cards form a puzzle of Piper Halliwell. The reverse of the next nine comprise a "Family & Friends" subset with capsule biographies of the main characters. The next nine form a puzzle of Phoebe Halliwell. Nine "Book of Shadows" cards offer incantations from various episodes. Another nine create a puzzle of Paige Matthews. Nine "Black as Cole" cards explore the dual nature of Phoebe's sweetheart, Cole Turner. The backs of the next nine are dedicated to a group photo of Paige, Piper and Phoebe. Four "The Spot" cards describe the sisters' troubled family business, a nightclub that attracts an... unnatural... clientele. Five "Behind the Scenes" cards discuss the making of "Charmed." The set closes with a checklist.

At first blush, the preponderance of puzzle cards seemed weird, but when actually placed side by side in the proper sequence, they look fantastic. Each large image has been composed and cropped in such a way that every individual card offers some interesting component: A face, some text, or -- hey, let's be honest about why "Charmed" is so popular -- a sizable portion of each actress' knockout body. It's all done flirtatiously but tastefully.

Bonus "chase cards" are plentiful. Every box is designed to resemble an oversized spellbook, with a group photo of the heroines on the "spine"/back. All sealed boxes include one of three "Boys of Charmed" boxloader cards, plus 24 seven-card packs. Randomly scattered among packs are six different "Spellbinders" cards with striking holographic backgrounds of stars; These can be found one in every 11 packs. Nine foil coated and embossed "Power of Three" cards form a puzzle of the women; These too are seeded one per 11 packs. Five "Pieceworks" cards containing snippets of screen-worn costumes are also available. Three are drawn from the superhero outfits featured in the episode "Witches In Tights" (seen on card #23 in the basic set). Phoebe's wedding dress and veil from the episode "Marry-Go-Round" have also been sacrificed in the name of cool chase cards. One "Pieceworks" card can be found in each box. Finally, cards signed by Alyssa "Phoebe" Milano, Rose "Paige" McGowan, and a dozen supporting castmembers (including "Nightmare On Elm Street" icon Robert Englund) can be found at a rate of one per box.

We pulled two complete basic sets, boxloader card #BL-3, "Spellbinders" #S-2 and S-3, "Power of Three" cards #P2 and P3, a card autographed by Milano, and "Pieceworks" card PW-3, featuring a snippet of Piper's silver superhero vest.

The core set looks great. The bonuses are fun. Collation is excellent. The word "charmed" pretty much sums it up. "Enchanting" works, too. This is great stuff.

i don't like this show so much... from what i've seen, paige is the coolest, the only thing that make me had an interest in this show was cole, he was the kind of villain i like, but he was killed so i kinda los interest for this show if i ever had any

I dont know if they will ever really vanquish Cole for good, he still is the love of phoebe's life so I expect that somewhere in the future he will make an appearance.

By JILL FEIWELL

Charisma Carpenter ("Angel," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") has nabbed the title role in the ABC Family telepic "See Jane Date," based on the book by Melissa Senate.

Also on board for the project, which goes before cameras Friday in Montreal, are "Charmed" star Holly Marie Combs and Linda Dano.

TV helmer Bob Berlinger is directing the pic, penned by Sheila Lawrence.

Story concerns a single girl living in Gotham who tries to impress her high school nemesis (Combs) by inventing the perfect boyfriend as her date to an impending wedding. To fill the bill, she embarks on an amusing string of blind dates.

Among those who have signed on to appear as potential suitors are Zachary Levi, Antonio Sabato Jr., Geoff Stults and Evan Marriott.

"See Jane Date" will be produced by von Zerneck/Sertner Films. Frank von Zerneck and Robert M. Sertner are executive producers, with Randy Sutter serving as producer.

Pic, slated to air in August, is the third and final installment in the cabler's summer movie series. "This Time Around" and "Lucky 7" are skedded to bow June 22 and July 20, respectively.

Date in print: Thurs., Jun. 12, 2003, Los Angeles

I would agree that Paige is underdeveloped, mainly becase she has only been on the show for 2 years, everyone else has been there for 5, so its natural that her charatcer would seem that way to us.
