I Know What You Did Last Summer, hands down. It was longer and more suspenseful. That was back in the day when Sarah was horror movie's reigning scream queen. She should get back to that.

I Know What You Did Last Summer, it is more emotional and desperate to fight for her life. Also, who runs up the stairs instead of out the door? Plus, running up the stairs instead of out the door? Please, that is so Scream 1. 😉

I just saw that the marching band in I Know What You Did Last Summer (in Helen's death scene) was out of step..... Failure.

I know what you did last summer, partly because it's more exciting and visually appealing (also one had more of a connection to Helen as a character) and from a more shallow point of view... oh the dress. How I love that dress and Sarah in it. Gorgeous!
 
I know what you did last summer!

I re-watch that movie all the time and still say just run a bit faster come on! I love Scream 2 as well but I know what you did last summer was my fav for her running scene wise. The whole scene creepy like the original Halloween where the killers seem to be walking so slow and the people are always running really fast.
 
I like "Scream 2" better. Her character in IKWYDLS irritates me and by the end of the scene I'm just ready for the screaming to stop.
 
IKWYDLS hands down. It was so desperate, and the background music added a nice touch instead of the usual suspense music. It had more of a "fighting for your life" feel. You actually think that she'll be able to get away, but then she doesn't. 🙁

I'd love to see SMG do another horror movie.
