Is the chat room just for the BBTV events? I stopped by the server tonight and saw the channel [HASHTAG]#buffyboards[/HASHTAG] but it was on invite only.

Yupp, you have it exactly right. The BB chatroom is currently only opened for use during board events. 🙂
