Title: Chatting With Love
Pairing: W/T
Summary: A little AU. Oz never happened and now Willow and Buffy are in collage. Willow joins a witchcraft community and starts chatting with Tara.

Chapter 1: New

Willow looked around, sighing over the silence in her room. Buffy was out patrolling for some vampire that might have had connection to the vampire that, broke Buffy's class protector award, Sunday. Willow had heard from a wicca group she had been checking out before, that there were a great site for Wiccans to check out. She had heard that there were some great persons there, most willing to help with the teachings and stuff. Willow had been fire and flames. A site where she could talk about nothing but Wicca! It had to be heaven. Willow opened her lap top which her parents had given her in going-off-to-collage present. She typed quickly in the address she had been given. She loved the site already. It had beautiful music in the backround. She quickly pressed 'register' and she made an id for herself. She was from now known as 'Redhead'. She knew it was annoying but she didnt want to type in Willow or something and since Spike (when he had kidnapped her and Xander) called her Red it was just something that had come into her head. She then looked at users online and quickly recived a message from another user called 'LuvMagick'. Willow got exitced. What would other people want her? She read the persons message:

LuvMagick: 'Hey... You must be new.'

Willow smiled. She liked this person already. She... or he wasnt giving her any creep vibes that she had got (but then again she had an awful experience once where the guy she was chatting with turned out to be a robot) from other people she had been chatting with on other sites.

Redhead: 'Yeah.... Im Willow'
LuvMagick: 'Nice name. Im Tara'

Tara huh? It was a beautiful name really... She wished she had a name like that... Not something as dull as Willow or something... It was annoying how her parents had named her Willow. Who in their right state of mind would like to be named after a tree?

Redhead: 'Beautiful name. How long have you been into magick'
LuvMagick: 'All my life... But I just got interested in Wicca after my mother died. She was one'
Redhead: 'Im sorry to hear that... about your mom'
LuvMagick: 'Its OK. How long have you been into Wicca and magick then'
Redhead: 'Hmm... Not long. A few months or so'
LuvMagick: 'Interesting. 🙂 What do you do when you arent praticing or so'
Redhead: 'You know... hanging out with my friends and so... you?'

Willow couldnt just say that she was out helping Buffy with her slaying as much as she could. She couldnt just go off telling everyone that her best friend was the slayer.

LuvMagick: 'Nothing much. I pretty much do that, and hang out here. I know almoust everyone here'
Redhead: 'That must be kinda cool. Like logging into your second home or something'
LuvMagick: 'I guess...'

For the rest of the night Willow chatted with Tara till it was so late that Buffy came back from patrolling. Willow said her goodnights to Tara and they decided to log on tonight as well and chat some more. Willow have had such a good time talking to Tara it felt like she had known her for years. She had told her about Xander and what they did when they were kids and how it had felt for Willow when Buffy first had come to the picture (leaving the part where Buffy was the slayer out offcourse).

"So Will... You are up." Buffy said surprised and she looked at Willow when she had shut her laptop. "What have you been doing all night."
"Oh... Just nothing..." Willow said softly. "I became member on this site you know... And I talked to this girl named Tara. She was nice." Willow noticed that her face was one big grin when she talked about Tara and she tried to make it go away but it wouldnt. She was happy that Buffy didnt notice, she was too busy with anything than bothering about Willow's face expressions.
"Cool." Buffy just said and then she yawned. "Im beat. Im going to bed. Night Will..."
With that said Buffy just jumped on her bed and fell asleep at once. Willow on the other hand, went to the bathroom and brushed her teeth and then took a snack before going to bed. She fell alseep, dreaming that Tara also lived at the collage and that they had started a coven.... And she had a feeling that they would have a beautiful friendship...

Chapter 2: Shopping With Time

Willow woke up early the next morning, feeling a bit sleepy but it quickly dissapeared when she saw Buffy sitting on her bed, waiting for her to wake up. It was Saturday and they where going to do some serious shopping. She smiled at her best friend.

"Hey you." Buffy smiled and got from sitting on her bed to sitting on Willows. Buffy had decided this day was going to be a blast.

"Hey Buffy... What time is it?" Willow rubbed her eyes and felt like she hadnt slept but on the same time that she had... strange feeling really.

"Ehhh..." Buffy immediately went to her bedside table and shuffed a few things aside to the floor and then she smiled. "Victory... The time is..... damn, the clock thingie has stopped."

Willow giggled. Buffy had no clue about anything today. Willow wondered how she could live through slaying if she was this clueless. She then glared over at her own perfectly cleaned bedside table and she saw on her own watch that the time was 11 PM. She had slept about 5 hours. She yawned. God, she had to get to bed earlier tonight and not let her chat with Tara go on as much as it did last night. Willow got happy thinking about her new friend. She wondered what she was doing right now...

Tara Maclay walked around UC Sunnydale, looking around this beautiful day. She had trouble though. She had heard from a friend that her brother and father had started to try to track her down again. She was sure she wasnt a demon... She wasnt evil! But soon she let the trouble pass aside she looked around the beautiful campus and she just got amazed over how beautiful the world was (she was it quite often but...). The Goddess' enegry was everywhere. She had never felt so much connected to the Goddess' being and creation as in Sunnydale. She had been attracted to the town since she was a child when her mother had talked to her about the town. "A town filled with evil, but also great magick" had her mother said to her and she couldnt just let the place out of her head. Luckily, she had never told her father about her obsession with Sunnydale. Suddenly something made her turn around. She saw a blonde woman, walking and talking to... the most beautiful woman Tara had ever seen. She had red hair and she had just an aura... She loved her at once. The strenght that was glowing out of her.... Tara gasped for air, she had to be some woman that redhaired girl...

Willow, walking out of her dorm and just out to go shopping with Buffy, got a strange feeling in her... It felt just... home for a second. The world seemed to just stop for a second and that she was getting a worm feeling in her heart. She didnt know what it was and she luckily managed to hind her strange behaviour to Buffy, who was talking on and on about a pair of jeans she had seen in a store. Willow find herself strangely content about her life for a second.

"Willow? Will?" Willow woke up from her daydreaming and faced Buffy's questioning eyes. "Are you OK?"

"Yeah yeah... Just fine." Willow said and smiled. "Just daydreaming you know..."

"Ohh..." Buffy said. "Like I said: Wanna go and get Xander as well?"

Willow sighed. Xander... did she have the enegry to take him along... Sure Buffy had said that it was a girls day today but Xander was kinda like a girl, no offence to her childhood friend but...

"Sure." Willow said and then they walked out of campus, out for a good day of shopping...

When Willow and Buffy came back they had a bad each that they had their new bought clothes in. Buffy had bought a red tank top and a pair of jeans. Willow had bought a pink cardigan and a pair of black demi jeans. When Willow packed up her new clothes she couldnt help but to just smell the new clothes, it was Willow's wierd obsession. She loved the smell of new clothes... She just loved it. Buffy had thought at the beginning, everytime they bought clothes, that it was wierd, but she had come to terms with it and accepted it as a part of "the Willow package" that you got when you became Willow's friend.

Willow glared at the watch again and she couldnt help but let out a small gasp. Tara! She should have been online an hour ago! Willow practically threw herself over her lap top and quickly logged in as Redhead. And at once there came a message from LuvMagick aka Tara.

LuvMagick: 'Hey you. I thought you werent gonna make it'
Redhead: 'Im sorry... I went out shopping with Buffy, one of my friends I told you about'
LuvMagick: 'Ohh... Did you find anything'
Redhead: 'Yeah. A Pink cardigan and a pair of jeans... What have you been up to'
LuvMagick: 'Nothing much. I have been meditating most of the day. I forgot to eat lunch so Im sooo hungry right now'
Redhead: 'I dont drift off like that... I wish I could though. Meditation for me is pretty hard'
LuvMagick: 'It's not that hard you know... Just think about something that makes you peaceful or feel loved and think about nothing but that for a while... Then you stop thinking about it and just about air or something'
Redhead: 'Thanks soooo much for the tip Tara! hug I'll try it at once next time I get a chance. But it might be a while till then'
LuvMagick: 'How come'
Redhead: 'Well Buffy... She's a loud girl. She has a habbit of putting on 3 Doors Down with Here without you on the highest volume when I try to meditate'
LuvMagick: 'Ohh... that's a pain. I had a brother who did stuff like that but it was just for being a pain.'

Willow giggled. Yeah it was a pain... Meditation around Buffy was like trying to pairing up Buffy with Spike; impossible.

Redhead: 'Ohhh... What happened to your brother'
LuvMagick: 'Why do you wonder'
Redhead: 'You wrote had. Has he died? Im sorry'
LuvMagick: 'No he isnt dead.. So dont worry about it... He just... well.. complicated story'
Redhead: 'ohhh'
LuvMagick: 'But you should be afraid to ask questions. I'll happily answer them '
Redhead: 'OK. Great! :-D So what do you do'
LuvMagick: 'Im at collage. you'
Redhead: 'Same. What collage are you at? you dont haft to answer that if you dont want to'
LuvMagick: 'It's OK. I go at UC Sunndale...'

Willow just stared at the screen.

Chapter 3: The Set Up

Tara was in Sunnydale?! Willow couldn't believe it. Sure she had thought that it would be cool if she lived in Sunnydale but... these news came as a shock. Right then Buffy came turned around and looked at Willow since she hadn't heard her typing anything. Buffy looked at Willow and said with a soft friendly voice:

"Are you OK?"

Those words brought Willow back to reality and she quickly typed in 'That's cool.' to Tara, thinking in her head if she should tell her that she went to UC Sunnydale as well. She turned to Buffy to hear her point of view.

"I'm fine." Willow said truthfully. "But I've got a problem. I started chatting with this girl yesterday and she's all nice and stuff and well... She told me that she goes to UC Sunnydale. Should I tell her that I go here too?"

Buffy smiled and she said like the friend she was: "Sure. But if you are gonna meet, choose I public place and make sure I'm close by so if she turns out to be a he or something I could kick his ass."

Willow giggled and she forgot all about feeling like Buffy's shadow, Buffy had offered to kick up Tara's ass if she turned out to be an asshole and it was kinda sweet. In a Sunnydale kinda way. She smiled like a little girl and said: "Will do." Willow quickly turned to her laptop again and she typed in her reply and waited a few seconds till she saw Tara's reply:

Redhead: 'I go to UC Sunnydale as well'
LuvMagick: 'What? That's soo cool. Maybe we could meet up or something? If you want to I mean'
Redhead: 'Sure! When?'

Tara couldn't believe her luck; most of the people that she talked with lived in New York or Texas. It was fun to see that someone lived in her area so that she could meet up with them and talk to them in person. She was thrilled that Willow wanted to see her. She had a feeling they would be the best of friends. She thought for a second and then typed in:

LuvMagick: 'You know the Espresso Pump? We could meet there... if you'd like. Maybe around lunch time?'

It didn't take long before Willow had typed her reply in and Tara happily read it. She had agreed, but now she apparently needed to go because one of her friends, Buffy, wanted her to do something with her. Tara said her goodbyes to Willow and logged out herself. She sighed and then her thoughts went to home where her father, brother and cousin Beth was searching for her. She had a feeling that she couldn't stay so much longer in Sunnydale before they found her. The feeling made Tara sad because for the first time, she felt like she was home.

The next morning Tara woke up around 5 am and she sighed and tried to go back to sleep. She didn't need to go up until 2 hours but she was too excited to actually manage to get some sleep again. She decided to go to the Magic Box and maybe buy something. She got up and she put on a white top and a pair of jeans. Simple and easy. She brushed her teeth and she brushed her hair, she couldn't wait to see Willow, it was so exciting that there were people in Sunnydale who actually cared more about something else than just clothing, makeup and.... boys. Tara sighed. Tara had always been "into" (god, that sounded like the wrong word but hey...) girls and it had pretty much freaked everyone around her since she was 12 years old, so Tara had pretty much grown up alone. She was determined to get a friend in Sunnydale, whatever that meant. IF now Willow was like a clepto or something she would help her get passed it, not everyone's perfect.... Tara herself was a.... a demon. She couldn't believe it, she didn't WANT to believe it either. She wasn't evil... she was just... Tara and she were alone. Tara then decided to think about something else and she was really looking forward to meeting Willow. Tara made a last look in the mirror before she went out.

Willow had, after chatting with Tara, went out with Buffy on her slaying round, which first was thought to be a total drag. There wasn't a demon insight and just when Willow was getting bored a demon jumped out of the bushes, like sent from heaven... or hell or whatever it came from. Buffy went to an attack but this turned out to go pretty wrong, the demon broke Buffy's left arm, before Buffy and Willow ran away.
The demon hadn't followed them, which Willow thanked her lucky star for, so they went to bed, decided to tell Giles about the demon first thing tomorrow morning. Then they had gone to bed, because they were really tired.

When Buffy and Willow woke up the next morning Buffy's arm didn't hurt, it was just really sore. Willow helped in anyway she could, she carried some of her books and stuff. Right at lunch break Willow and Buffy went to Giles' apartment, to talk to him about the demon.
Giles was surprised that Buffy had gone hurt and he said just calmly that they would need some research on this. Everyone sat down and started to look in books and Willow went on the internet, searching for something. She was surprised how much information Goggle contained. What they didn't realize was that the hours clicked by...

Tara had sat and waited for 3 hours (missing one of her classes as well) and waited for Willow. She hadn't showed up, Tara felt as if she was gonna break. It had just been an evil prank made on her; she hated the people around her. How could they be so cruel? She had even bought a gift for Willow at the Magic Box (which had cost a lot of money but Tara thought that it might be expensive but it was worth a friend). She felt a tear coming down her cheek and went from the Espresso Pump... She was never going to talk to Willow again.

Chapter 4: The Human Psyche

Note before we begin: Since it's AU, Buffy doesnt take psychology but Tara takes it instead 😉

Willow didn't understand how everything had just gone away... Time everything. When she looked at the clock she realized something... Tara. She had missed it completely as she was helping Buffy with research and she felt horrible. Tara had surely been waiting and Willow couldn't help but feel.... sad, she had looked forward to talk to the girl but no no... fate seemed to have other plans...

When Tara got home, she fell on her bed, crying her heart out. How stupid did she was? It was surely just one of her old friend's bad jokes.... Tara laid down on the bed softly and she felt how her pillow got wet from her tears. She had been so stupid... Thinking that SHE might even get a friend or two... But who was she kidding? She was alone... she was a geek and worth nothing at all. She closed her eyes, wishing herself elsewhere...

When she opened her eyes again she looked at the clock. She was going to be late for psychology. She silently cursed and she got up. Not only did she have a terrible day but she was going to be late for her favourite class as well. She silently cursed and she gathered her books, ignored her headache and wiped away a few tears. She was going to live. She wasn't going to give the others the satisfaction of knowing they had got to her. She took a deep breath and she went outside her dorm, ready to face the world again.

Outside Tara's dorm everything went on as normal, no one noticing the sad and silent girl walking pass them; they were to busy catching up on the latest gossip. Sometimes Tara wished she was like them... She sometimes wished it so deep that she thought she was going to die... What wouldn't she do to be normal? She hated it on the same time... What meaningless and empty lives they must have... no worries or anything, just going around judging other people. Tara wanted that... She was sick of being so "special" but on the same time being no one. She didn't want to be a demon, she didn't want to have a controlling family, but on the same time: that was what she had.

Tara snapped out of her thoughts and she entered the room where the class was held. She at once felt all the cold stares at her, and she felt so alone. She felt her cheeks heat up and she heard Professor Walsh making a comment on her late appearance. Tara quickly goes out of the attention and sat down quickly and Professor Walsh continued.

"Like I said: now we are going to start to study the psychology of the cave men... What separates us from them? What makes us like them? So therefore, I'm going to part you in groups two and two. Your assignment is due next week."

Professor Walsh was interrupted by some boys in the back of the classroom, which she sent an evil eye at before continuing. Tara drifted in like a sleep, waking up just as she heard her own name being called out:

"... Ms Mclay and Ms Rosenberg..."

Tara sighed. She hated group things, especially when there was just her and someone else. They didn't listen to her ideas and did their own race, causing the project to be late and that they barely got approved in the class. She didn't care about the whole - you need to learn to work with other people thing, she knew how to work with people, it was just that people didn't listen to her. She woke up from her thoughts when Professor Walsh started talking again:

"I see we are a bit before schedule... I see no point why you can't sit into your groups and start planning the assignment."

After those words the horrible sound of people walking up from their chairs caught Tara's ears. She didn't really understand how such a simple movement as finding your partner in a classroom could cause so much sound. Tara heard a voice excuse herself and Tara looked up.

Tara went into shock. It was the beautiful red headed girl she had seen a while ago. She suddenly realized that she might say need to say something... something smart... that would make the girl notice her a bit more.

"Uhhh... Y-yes?" Oh brilliant, Tara thought. Not only had she started talking to the most beautiful woman in the world but also she managed to sound like a freak.

"Are you Mclay?" She asked softly. "I'm Willow Rosenberg. Nice to meet you."

Tara felt how a smile grew on her face; the beautiful woman would be working with HER on the assignment. Tara couldn't help feeling like the luckiest girl alive.

"Uhhh... Y-yes I'm Mclay... Tara Mclay. Nice to m-meet you Willow." They then didn't say anything, Tara was wondering why Willow looked so funny at her, then realizing that Willow was just standing there, waiting to be invited to sit next to her. "Ohhh... I'm sorry. Please s-sit down." Tara said and pointed at a chair next to her. Willow smiled and sat down next to her.

"So how are we going to do this?" Willow asked"¦ "I've got this friend"¦ He got like a million books about"¦ ancient people. And I thought maybe we could go and searching in them"¦ or?"

Willow felt silly. She had suggested that they would go to Giles' apartment and do some research. Why the hell did she even mention Giles? She knew she had a problem of babbling too much but this was just insane. And on the same time there was something familiar with Tara that she couldn't really place. She felt nervous and she thought that Tara probably thought how stupid she seemed. Willow took a sigh of relief when she heard Tara respond without any annoyance in her voice:

"Sure. That would be cool. I don't have so many books myself and it's good to have some extra books to look in since the books we have in class are just basic."

Willow smiled and they talked some more and the more Tara told about herself, the surer she was that she had met her before or something"¦ Everything about her was weirdly familiar"¦.

Chapter 5: Meeting Spike
Note: This became a short chapter I know but... bare with me 😉

When Willow had walked in with Tara she had felt less silly. She just prayed that Spike would keep silent and Giles would be out walking him or something.... It would be difficult to explain a vampire chained to a bathtub, but off course the Gods seemed to have something against her. As soon as they walked into Giles apartment, Spike called out on Giles, who wasn't there:

"Giles, you bloody Britt! I want my blood!! And fix the god damn TV! If I miss Passions..."

Willow fell into shock and just stared at Tara, hoping that she wouldn't think she was a freak. But to her surprise Tara started giggling and replied to the vampire:

"Who's Giles?"

Willow knew that Spike would say something to give him away as a vampire next so Willow just quickly added, hoping that Tara would forget the detail about blood:

"It's me, Willow, and I brought a friend. We were going to work on an assignment and well... Giles got so many books."

Willow saw that Tara was getting curious about the British voice from nowhere and was just about to step into the bathroom when Willow, just out of reflex, grabbed Tara's arm gently, not wanting her to see the vampire.

"How about we get started, Tara?"

Tara smiled and Willow quickly realized that she should let her grip around Tara's arm, which she did, but way to late to save her pride. Willow blushed in embarrassment.

"In a bit. I just have a feeling that whoever is in there will go on nagging at you to do something and we won't get done."

Willow was impressed, and she realized that her face was about a big O. She just felt like she did around Xander before Buffy... But not exactly... right?

"Wow..." Willow said, shocked. "You have been here 2 seconds and you already got the personality profile for Spike..."

"What can I say?" Tara giggled. "I'm a people person."

And then a voice called, sharp and breaking the moment between them, making Willow wish that Spike was ashes:

"Can you let me have my blood sometime today?! And after that you can make out as much as you'd like..."

Before Willow could stop Tara, Tara had opened the door and she wanted to be anywhere else but there right now. She just wanted to pull Tara away from the door. But it was too late and as Tara walked in, Spike became silent and asked in a rather usual tone (which Willow had never heard before):

"So... Who are you?"

Tara must have been feeling the same strange feeling because she gave Spike a quick smile and started to turn to Willow and Willow realized she needed to interfere - or something. She couldn't just stand there... What would Tara think she was? And off course, who could blame Tara for not wanting to spend time with her when she had a bleach blonde dude chained to a bathtub.

"Spike. This is Tara... Tara, this is Spike... He's a long story."

Tara nodded at Willow and returned her face to Spike. Willow could see something of a surprise playing on Tara's face... What was happening that she didn't see? She couldn't... no.... Tara couldn't possibly find Spike attractive! Willow knew that he was attractive; she had thought so a year ago but... Tara wasn't supposed to find him attractive!

Right then Willow hit her head. What was Tara suppose to do? She could be attracted to Spike as much as she'd like...

"Nice to meet you... Did you want anything?"

Spike's face became small as he was about to lie or something like that, and what Spike then said after that came as a huge shock to Willow and she was about to see if she had got some problem with her ears.

"Nope. Nothin'." Spike said and looked around, not anywhere near Willow or Tara's eyes. "I'm fine... Don't mind me."

Willow suddenly thought that Spike might be sick or something but realized that it would suit him right, after the number of murder attempts he had tried on her. She turned her gaze back to Tara, who was still looking at Spike confused.

"OK. Let's go Tara." She said with a cold voice that even surprised her.

Hey your story rocks!!! Just hit me but wouldn't Willow and Tara have recognized the names of each other? Anyway great work, keep up the great work. More soon? 😀

Thanks Calangel! 😀

Willow02: hehe... You know what they say: Love is blind 😉 And I think that in real life it just isnt something that you'd think about. Like Tara, she went to class feeling betrayed, wanting to get her mind of the online world... which she kinda did and then she met Willow so I dont think she would have realized who she was... 😛

More will come really soon since I've got this friend of mine who's asking like all the time when I'll update and comming with brilliant ideas 😀

Well ya that makes sense, plus with the whole making a friend thing to take her mind off of it. And ya update on the way 😀

Chapter 6: Forbidden Thoughts

Just as they were getting started; Buffy, Giles and Xander stepped into his apartment and Willow were surprised that Riley wasn't Buffy's faithful shadow.

Buffy had her arm hanging loose; it was beginning to heal really well and should be fine by tomorrow. She smiled at Willow and Willow felt as if there was something that Buffy needed Willow to do. Then Buffy's eyes caught the sight of Tara and gave Willow a questioning look. Willow realized she needed to speak to them, so she excused herself to Tara and walked to her friends.

"Who is she and WHAT is she doing here?" Buffy whispered out of hear to Tara. "We can't have her here! We are in need of some serious demon searching!"

Willow sighed. "Buffy, I panicked OK? In psychology we are having an essay... An essay I'd REALLY like to get an A on!"

Buffy's questioning face morphed into a confused face. "I thought you had no trouble getting A's..."

"Well... I can't study and be demon girl all at the same time you know! And since saving the world, is more important, my school had to drop in rank."

Now all of Willow's friends (besides Tara) were looking guilty. They knew that they had kept Willow busy and she had often volunteered to do stuff for them in search of demons, even when there were no demons.

"Willow..:" Giles began, giving her 'I'm sorry' talk, while wiping his glasses.

"Don't Willow me!" Willow said, caught in a fury that she thought she couldn't posses. "I haft to do well on this - otherwise I'll never finish collage and... believe it or not being your sidekick isn't what I'm planning to do for the rest of my life!"

Willow covered her mouth as she realized that she had just said something that she had only thought in her head, and she felt horrible... to them, to Tara.... Something in her mind told her to think a bit further but Willow ignored it as she saw her friends' sadness.

"I'm sorry." She said, realizing that the damage was already done. "I'm going to continue my study and you can..."

Willow had turned around and stopped her words, because Tara wasn't sitting by the books and reading - she had disappeared. She felt a quick wave of panic coming over here but then she heard voices from the bathroom...

All four ran to the bathroom and opened the door quickly, reviling Tara giving Spike some blood. They were all in shock and Tara started to stutter in hope of explaining herself...

"W-while you were ehh... t-talking Spike h-here told me t-to get some ehhh... d-drink and well... I g-gave it to him..." She blushed, thinking how idiotic they must think she is...

'She's cute when she blushes...' Willow thought but quickly covered up the idea in her head. 'Forbidden thoughts! Forbidden thoughts!'

"Ehhh.. It's quite alright..." Giles managed to say, hoping that Tara hadn't realized he was a demon...

But Tara had, she had felt his demon aura as soon as she had walked into the room the first time, seeing Spike there. She felt rather scared... She had never met a demon before... besides herself. She couldn't understand why Spike just didn't stake himself - she would never manage to life knowing that she'd killed people.

"Oh bloody hell..." Spike said and rolled his eyes. "Please! You're just saying' it because 'pretty girl' over here, walked in and decided to be kind and give a poor vampire his blood!"

Willows eyes widened what would Tara think of them? Had she just destroyed a beautiful friendship by trying to start one? She tried with every inch of her to stay calm as she managed to press out a 'Tara, I can explain'.

But Tara just smiled shyly and said sweetly:
"It's OK Willow... I a-already knew that v-vampires exist." She then just looked at the floor and Giles wiped his glasses - again, trying to get the tension away. Buffy's mouth was huge like an O and Xander was just staring while pressing out 'How?'

"W-well... In Sunnydale some weird things happen." She said and smiled at them. "I just put t-two and two together."

"That's ehhh... smart, of you Tara." Giles said and put his glasses back on, looking at the weird picture that was displayed in front of him. The shyest girl he'd ever met was feeding a vampire blood and wasn't at all uncomfortable with it... And Spike somehow seemed polite around the girl... What the hell had the world morphed into?

"I-I should go..." Tara said and picked herself off the floor, brushing up any dirt that might have come on her clothes while sitting on the floor. She liked Willow, she had a beautiful aura and she would really like it if they became more than that but Willow being as gorgeous as she was - she was probably into boys. She sighed within her, life wasn't fair.
Spike was a great thing to make her forget about her ****ed up life. Both being demons Tara thought they'd have a lot to talk about but he might just say a word or two but then nothing more. Was she really so awful that not even another demon would want to talk to her?

Spike didn't know why he had kept silent when Red's friend had come in. He had smelled power and he shut up. From a look of the woman in front of him, who looked as innocent as the clouds on the sky, he could tell that she had no idea about this power, the power that she'd have if she was evil.... It would be interesting to turn her or something - not that he was attracted to her, but just to see what she'd be like. She would have been vicious but if the choice came between Willow and that blonde woman he'd take Willow in a heartbeat - he preferred her better since she was more of his kind of girl.

Willow stared at her, feeling somehow betrayed, she wanted her to stay, they hadn't even... ehhh... started working on their assignment yet. "No Tara, wait!" She called out to her and grabbed her arm (again feeling the shot of energy flow through her fingers) before she could walk out of the door.

"Please stay..." Willow pleaded. "We still got the assignment to do and well... you know... I'd like you know... get to know you a bit better.... Please?"

Tara softened at once, she was so sweet and well... she was just a great person. She couldn't walk out if she asked her not to - she couldn't find it in her heart to say no to her at all. She was just what Tara loved - strong and sweet.

"O-okay..." She said and looked Willow in the eyes when she let her go... "If you want me to."

Tara had a hard time to not to get all giggly and show off her joy that she was feeling. Maybe she wasn't as much of a loser as she thought she was?

Willow gave her a huge smile and everyone (besides Spike) went out again to start to look up things. "Is it OK if Buffy, Xander and Giles look up at a demon that attacked yesterday?"

Tara raised an eyebrow. "A demon attacked? Yesterday? I didn't notice..." She had thought when she had meant a demon attacked that it was like the end of the world or something but Willow quickly shook her head.

"No, no... You shouldn't have. Buffy's the Slayer and she fights demons and this one demon broke her arm and well... we went back to study up on the demon and I forgot to chat with this girl named Tara and then you see Buffy has slayer healing so you wouldn't...."

Something had caught Tara's attention as she had heard Willow's rambling and she was shocked.... Was it? Oh my god! She needed to get out of there - NOW! She looked around, forgetting that there was a way out of the apartment but then she saw it and she said some lame excuse that she had to go and she quickly pulled her stuff together and before anyone said anything she'd left.

Buffy just stared as how quickly Tara got up from her chair but she dismissed the thought that there was something weird about her. She turned back Giles and they started to continue their search for that arm breaking demon...

Willow couldn't believe what she had done. She had agreed to stay but stayed two minutes? Had she done anything? She stared for a while at the door before deciding to help Buffy, Xander and Giles with their research...

Tara was in shock, her whole body was cold and she felt fear, surprise and everything there was... She cried, not knowing why; she didn't even know if she was happy or not. She was now just walking around in Sunnydale, trying and laughing at the same time. People probably thought that she was insane, but she didn't really care.

She had walked around there for a while, trying to think about something with her brain. But her heart just said to her to walk to Willow and tell her how she felt about her, no doubt Willow would be freaked. And frankly, Tara was surprised that she didn't have a boyfriend or girlfriend... A girl with Willow's personality, looks, being, strength... She knew that the girl had come into her heart at once and she cared about her more than anything. She was on her mind, in her dreams and just a smile from Willow could already lighten her heart. She knew it wasn't love - not yet, love was built and she had just known her for a day... But it seemed so much longer, and it was... Willow was the Willow that had broken her spirit a few hours ago but... She was just.... Willow and that was what she was pleased with. She suddenly got it, before she got any more crushed over Willow, she needed to tell her about what it was that she hadn't still realized...

She suddenly heard a voice behind her and she turned around and froze.

"Beth..." Tara's cousin Beth was standing right behind her, looking at her viciously, if only looks could kill.

"Tara." She said politely but with no emotion in her voice, she was standing with her arms crossed, and her blonde hair up in the usual style. "Nice hair. But it won't hide you though..."

Tara knew what she was talking about at once and she started to get worried... Wherever Beth was - her family was closely behind. She didn't know how they had found her, or what they were doing here, but she wished them to go away...

Suddenly she turned around quickly, sensing someone behind her but it was too late. She felt a hand covering her mouth. She started to fight her way out. She didn't want to go back - she was starting to have some good things going here. She kicked; she pressed her teeth into whatever hand that was holding her - hard, making them whimper in pain. She managed to get an opening out of the attacker's hold, which she took without thinking.

She ran away quickly from Beth and whoever that was behind her, raced to the nearest public place. She felt her crash into someone and she got scared. What if they had caught up with her? She was about to scream when she saw a flash of red hair from the person that she had ran into. It was Willow.

Suddenly, completely calm, Tara got up and apologized for her terrible speed and helped Willow up as well.

"You were running really fast." Willow commented, worried. "Who were you running from?"

Tara suddenly got very very nervous. She couldn't tell her - could she? "W-well... Just... ehhh... e-exercising, you know?"

Willow raised an eyebrow and gave Tara a questioned look. She didn't believe her. "I don't believe you, Tara. I honestly don't. But, what if we go to my dorm and you might feel more comfortable telling me there?"

Tara sighed. She didn't know what to do. She couldn't - more likely wouldn't refuse Willow of walking to her dorm, but it was terribly spooky that she was the Redhead she had talked to before, online. "Okay." she replied after a lot of thinking.

They walked rather quickly and in silence to Willow's dorm room. When they got inside Willow shut the door and locked it. "See? Now no one will get in unless it's Buffy with a key, or we let them in. So you are safe here..."

"I know I am." Tara smiled honestly and looked around the dorm room.

The dorm room had really an Indian style in it; on what she thought was Willow's side of the room. Candles where on tables, pillows lying on the floor, perfect for meditation and the smell of incense was all over the dorm, it smelt lovely. Stones and some white candles where properly laid on a shelf and books about witchcraft and Wicca was lying next to it. Tara spotted her favourite book, Wicca by Scott Cummingham, not far away and Witch by Fiona Horne. She had probably read those books a hundred times and she knew at once that Willow had a good taste in choosing Wicca and witchcraft books.

"Lovely dorm." Tara then added when she realized that Willow didn't say anything, just looking at her as if she was trying to decide something. "I really love the whole Indian style thing you've got going on..."

"Thank you." Willow said and smiled. "I love it too." Now her gaze had shifted from Tara to her room as well, looking proudly at the atmosphere she had created for herself.

"It's very you." Tara added.

Willow said nothing just smiled back at Tara. She moved a bit closer to Tara, neither of them realizing that she had really done it - they just felt more comfortable.

"Would you like to have something? I mean, you might be a lot more comfortable telling me then..." Willow tried, desperately wanting to help her friend.

Friend... It was a weird way of describing her connection to Tara. It seemed really, lacking. She didn't actually know what Tara was for her, she hadn't known her long but the connection between them was strong - very strong.

"No thank you." Tara nodded. "Really, it's fine."

They sat down on the pillows, automatically in meditation positions. Willow examined Tara's face while Tara was doing the same thing. They were like the same person, connected deep under their skin, beyond anything else. Still, they were from complete different worlds, but still the same.

"It was just...." Tara started, trying to make it come out right, without spilling her secret. "It was just.... it's complicated."

Willow looked at her understandingly. "Everything is, Tara. Just tell me."

"No." Tara shook her head. "Then you don't want to be around me anymore and I can't stand the thought of you hating me... I just can't. And there's too much to tell."

"I wouldn't hate you even if you were a vampire." Willow giggled, making Tara uneasy. "Tara, just tell me. Let me decide if I should hate you or not... Please."

Willow took Tara's hand in her's, showing her support and there was a lot of affection within this gesture. Willow and Tara looked down at their joined hands and then up to each other's faces again.

"I-it started when I was very y-young..." Tara started to tell. "I lived with my family. I love them, but they where complicated. They didn't let me out around people because... b-because... I can't do this!"

Tara was frustrated. She didn't want to loose Willow as a friend, she'd rather die. Tears fell down her cheeks and Willow's face was filled with sorrow, feeling for her friend.

Willow let go of their joined hands and put her left hand on Tara's left cheek, wiping some tears away. And the rest was done on instinct before she could react. Willow leaned closer to Tara, an inch from her face. Then she felt their lips touch and her body turn into fire. She opened her mouth, inviting Tara's tongue and they kissed passionately.

Tara was finding solace and love in the kiss. She was getting very happy and she felt all of her senses come alive. She wanted more and more out of the kiss, but then realizing that they needed to breathe. They both let go of the kiss, both panting as they parted.

Willow was surprised over what she had done, but not sorry. She had felt the connection with Tara early and this kiss wasn't her first, but it was sure as hell the best she have had. It wasn't the physical pleasure that pleased her most; it was the soul within her. It was dancing, feeling completely comfortable and filled with love. She had never felt more human.

Tara on the other hand had forgotten everything. She had forgotten about Beth, demon blood and all there was in the world was her and Willow. She moved closer to her again, kissing with just the same passion as the last kiss they had... She wanted to stay in this world forever...

Chapter 8: Take a Note

When morning came, Willow and Tara was lying on Willow's bed, snuggling. Nothing had happened previous night, besides major kissing. Buffy hadn't come home, so she was probably staying over at Riley's which Willow was quite thankful for. Not that she was ashamed of Tara but Buffy would totally freak, because Willow knew how uncomfortable Buffy was when things changed.

Willow looked over at a sleeping Tara next to her. Willow couldn't actually believe how crazy she was... How could such a beautiful woman like Tara be interested in a person like herself? Willow decided that she wouldn't think about the subject any further and snuggled closer to Tara, laying her head on Tara's, feeling complete for the first time ever.

They stayed that way a very long while till Willow felt Tara move next to her. Willow got up from her bed and looked as Tara opened her eyes.

"Good morning..." Tara commented and smiled at Willow. Tara's hair was messy, she had a red mark, showing how hard she had slept, on one side of her cheek and still Willow couldn't find anything more beautiful than her right this second.

"It is isn't it?" Willow replied softly and gave her a smile from her heart, hoping that Tara would see how much she adored her. "I'll go and make breakfast. What do you want?"

Tara thought for a moment and she sat up on Willow's bed, smiling. "I'd like just a sandwich... Not really that hungry right now. What are you going to have?" Tara fixed her legs so she sat in meditation position on Willow's bed and when she was sure that she sat comfortably on the bed, she looked up at Willow.

"Ohh... I'm ehh... I'm just going to have a sandwich too..." Willow blushed and looked down on the floor and she went to the door. Suddenly she thought about something and turned around facing Tara again. "I'm going to go to the Espresso Pump. They've got a special prize on sandwiches around this time... I'll be right back. Don't disappear on me while I'm gone OK?"

Tara looked confused at her girlfriend, wondering what she meant by it... Why would she leave her? Willow was the best thing that had ever happened to her. "Why would I?" Tara asked gently.

"Willow gave her friend a big worm smile as she was about to walk out the door."So I'm sure you aren't just a dream..." With that Willow had stepped out from her and Buffy's dorm and headed to the Espresso Pump, while Tara was thinking...

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Could she tell Willow? Would she freak? Deep down, Tara knew she had to tell her. It didn't seem as a big thing really since they had chatted once or twice but... Tara didn't know why but in her gut she felt like she should keep it a secret. If it was anyone else and she had to give advice she would tell her to tell the other person but when it was her, it felt so hard.

Tara decided just to go outside and get a notebook from her room, so she had something to do while Willow was gone on sandwich pick up. She took her jacket and she opened the door. Outside, the world worked as it usually did, people unaware of her. But now there was a difference from before - now someone would notice her if she walked pass them. And that person was Willow.

Tara opened the door to her dorm and stepped inside. The room was cold, the walls had nothing on them and there was just one rug and the basic things she needed. Tara hadn't really minded it otherwise but since she had seen Willow's dorm she wanted to create her own style on it. Not that she had a style but she could pretend, right?

She walked in and closed the door behind her; she was a private person and wouldn't like everyone to look inside her dorm while she searched for her notebook... And she didn't want to... She suddenly turned around, as she felt someone else's presence in the dorm. She came face to face with her father.

"D-dad..." Tara uttered shocked. "How did you find me?" She didn't understand it, she had been so careful... How could he have found her? Sure she had met Beth previous night but... How could he have found her dorm?

"Tara...." her father muttered coldly."What are we going to do with you? And you must have known that I would come, you met Beth yesterday... right?"

Tara nodded and looked down on the floor. She knew her father was a bad man, but every time she tried to say something against her father's will he managed to make his opinion sound so right and make her feel guilty.

"There, you see..." Her father grinned at his daughter. "You are going to come home with us. End of story... You know what we haft to do before you hurt anyone. We can't have that on our responsibility. You are a demon, Tara, spawn of the Devil."

Tara swallowed hard, he was wrong, but she couldn't tell him that. How could she be a demon? If she was a demon... wouldn't she want to kill someone? Or be more confident? But where else would her powers come from? Her magic?

"Come now then... *Tara*" her father mocked and waved at the door.

Tara suddenly thought about Willow... She would haft to leave her. No, no! She wouldn't! Not even if it was the last thing she'd do! Willow made her feel alive, made her feel safe, and loved and... human. No one other than her ever could! There was no way in hell that she would.

"No." Tara whispered, loud enough to make it reach her dad's ears. "I won't..."

She didn't finish her sentence because for the first time in a long time her father looked really sad... Maybe she should.... Maybe.... Tara froze.

"Then... I'm sorry." her father said and walked out to the door, stopping right by it, looking up at one of her bookshelves. "You can now have her... I tried..." He mumbled hard and walked out of the dorm.

Tara just stared at the door. What had happened? What... She didn't finish thinking. A sharp, cold energy entered the room and flew right in Tara. She felt a cold fire enter her, burning and hurting her like nothing else could. All thoughts in her head stopped, the pain was too great. She wanted to scream, but quickly realized that she couldn't utter a word. She became desperate, she tried to move her arms, but she couldn't. She felt trapped, and like something was draining her on her magic... What have happened to her?

If anyone would have walked into the room, they would see that Tara's otherwise blue gentle eyes had been pushed away and had a sort of grey fog in front of it. She was possessed.
