It's come to my attention that my role on this board recently has been primarily that of "wet blanket."

That's not something I particularly want to be, but I have some very strong opinions about the Buffy fandom and its future that are not shared by many (any?) of the other members here.

So in the interests of everyone's happiness, I have decided to stop actively participating here for the time being.

There are many of you that I like and respect, so I figure I'll probably still lurk about from time to time and read what you have to say. Maybe the time will come when I feel like getting back into things. I don't know.

Thanks to all the people who made this an enjoyable experience!

Thanks for the karmas and PM's. My problem isn't with individual people... if it was, I'd just gleefully tear them new holes, and move on.

I thought of trying to simply move ahead without participating in any discussions relating to, or touching on this abortion of a movie. But I've tried before to do that. It's hard, because I tend to focus on the present and future of the Buffyverse rather than the past.

I wish more people shared my opinions about Joss and just what he and Buffy are to each other. But if wishes were horses, we'd all need to wear galoshes.

I'll tell you what... I'll still post if I find something I can post about without having to grit my teeth.

I'm visiting my parents for an undecided amount of time, and they have no wi-fi! What is this, the middle ages? gawd.

I'm not exactly new here so I don't think i should start a thread, but I have been away from the BB for a quite awhile to take care of a few things, they have been temporarily solved and hopefully I'm here to stay now.
I have since finished both the Angel and Buffy series', and I hope to discuss them here as well as just being around friendly folk.

I'm leaving tomorrow for Michigan! And a tent with nice inflated mattress. I'm pretty excited about it because this weekend at work is gonna be like a recipe for disaster. We've got a dog that makes a lot of noise. A lot of rowdy boys and a bunch of people with really high standards staying at the hotel. This place has some pretty thin walls too. And in three and a half hours I shall be released! for about 5 days.

This'll be the awesome 4 days of concerts and swimming and nature walking with just my hubby and me. Oh and a lot of alcohol. Hopefully there will be some sort of destressing place there, there are hammocks, because I have no net access and this place has become my de-stresser. It's like "Life kicking you in the butt? It's alright, just head on over to the Buffy Boards, where everyone is actually pretty cool."

I'll be back Monday night to the land of bills and an intense amount of homework. But then I'll also be back here! Woo! I guess I am getting better at that whole looking at the good side of everything. . . thing . . .that my husband is always insisting that I try out.

Okay, may be checking out prematurely. I'm splitting town tonight and don't have work for about five days. I'm not sure how long I'm going to be gone though because my trip and it's length kind of depends on other people giving me rides. So I'm going to be gone between one and five days.

I've been pretty much less than active around here for a few weeks now cause of just random life issues & cause I've been working my butt off which leaves precious little time for things I'd rather be doing 🙁 Wanted to pop in and say for the next few weeks I'll be even more absent... got a 2nd job & I'm moving etc, but hopefully early-ish August things will settle and I can have a post-a-polooza! I have some bad news... My doctor has found a pre-melanoma spot on my right hand, so tomorrow morning I will be going into surgery to have it removed. It was supposed to be a simple removal in the doctor's office with 1 stitch to close it up, but it sits right on top of a big artery, so I'm going to have to be put under for the surgery and probably won't be able to use my right hand much for a couple days. I will be gone till I can type again, but I just wanted to let you guys know, in case anyone wanted a banner or anything.
