I've always wondered that...i love it in another episode when Spike shouts "Timmy's down the bloody well!!" lol i always laugh at it!

My canadain friend likes it but im like :|.....bet its another crappy Eastenders LOL

Im siting here trying to 'like' Dawn more...Watching her high lights....And you be happy to no shes growing on me XD

The Spike and Joyce bonding is great! They make such a cool pair together (shipwise, would that be Jike or Spoyce? 😛), and believe me, that's a big thing for me to say because I can't stanf Joyce.
I don't think I remember the episode that well, but I do remember that the watcher's councel were being mean as always. Do they have a clue what it's like for a young girl to be a slayer? Do they even care? They seem soo bureaucratic to me.

No, no, and definately! They really did just want Buffy to hurry up and die already so they can clear their out tray and get an impressionable new Slayer in quick-smart. Horrible, horrible people.

Its an American Soap Opera
NBC.com - Passions

It was cancelled in 2008. But it had a lot to do with the supernatural, with a resident evil witch, Tabitha. So, naturally Spike, the soap guy he is, would pick Passions to watch during the middle of the day, when he couldn't leave his crypt.

By the way, here's an interesting tidbit: The actor who played Timmy on Passions died the same day his character died in the show. Coincidence?

Yh that is a coincidence. how did the actor die? and Timmy?

I won't speak to Passions but I will say that this is probably one of my least favorite episodes of all. She has power over them because she has something that they need? Next time you're sick, Buffy, let the pharma industry have power over you 'cause they have something that you need. So careful with that rather disturbing exposition on what it means to have "power".

I mean...I guess.
Except that with pharmacies, WE have something they need, too. Money.
I don't really get how it's disturbing.
After all the mind games the Council played, the way they had Buffy and her friends jumping through hoops (and not just this episode, but for years..), the way they fired Giles for (gasp!) being emotionally involved in his Slayer, that horrible test they put Buffy through S3, the way they treat Slayers like disposable instruments instead of thinking, breathing human beings...hell, in my opinion it wasn't Buffy being "disturbing." It was the same thing, in my eyes, as an underpaid, under-appreciated worker going on strike. That's all Buffy was doing: going on strike. Refusing to play their games. Reclaiming her power. And I don't really see anything wrong with that.

I used to watch Passions then realized how ridiculous it was and stopped. Trust me, folks, it defiinitely would be Spike's favorite soap. 😀

Hahah I loved Passions! I figured it was on everywhere! I think they show repeats at 3am sometimes... I didnt realise it was cancelled. I thought it would be around forever and ever, like Neighbours, but with witches and little people 😛

I hate Quentin and The Watcher Council, so this eppy was a chore for me. But watching Buffy tell them off was AWESOME!

Funny story about "Passions"-I used to work for an O.D. In between patients,we would watch t.v. in his office. He was too cheap to pay for cable,so we only got two or three channels. One of which showed "Passions". So one day a patient came in with a question about her contacts. I grab her chart and go into his office. Here is what followed:

Me: "Hey Doc,this patient has a ques...."

Doc: "Shush!!! Passions is on!"

I kid you not. Of course he went out to see the patient. What made if funny was that he is what you call a "man's man." I never would have pegged him to watch soaps. But I guess when you only have three channels to choose from....
