I should probably wait a little further into the series to post this but what do you think of the chemistry of the cast? I'm sold on Echo and Boyd and Topher and Saunders are great. I'm less sure about Victor and how well he fits in but I'm keeping an open mind. I also like what little we've seen of Echo and Sierra.

I feel like Buffy and Firefly both had casts with amazing chemistry but Angel took a little longer for the gang to gel for me (not till Seasons 2 and 3 with the exception of the Doyle episodes).

Yup. It may be a wee bit early.

Echo/Boyd is, by far, the strongest, IMHO.
Honestly, I don't *get* the Topher character at all. I mean what is his appeal on this board?? And Amy's character is understandably glum. But you'd think that if the DH has the mega cerebral power to come up with the tech for erasing brains, that they could do a little bit of cosmetic touch-up work for her character, and BINGO she's good as new.

I feel uncomfortable with his "Russian slime-ball" role being replaced with "he's-an-Active-and-we-should-trust-him" vibe I get from the writing.

I also like what little we've seen of Echo and Sierra.
Yeah, when they're in their erased, naive mode its very sweet.

I totally agree. The cast for Buffy just rocked and clicked with me after only a couple of eps. For Angel, I think it took a full season or two before I felt that they were a good, working ensemble.
