They give it a high score but really go to town on some of the issues with that episode. I agree with most of them, especially with Lindsey being given a character reset and the Spike biting Cordy act break.

I don't think Lindsay is re-set. He left, because he was tired of getting used. He tells Angel that he shouldn't let Wolfram and Hart make him play their game. When Angel joins Wolfram and Hart, Lindsay returns to LA to seek revenge on both Angel and Wolfram and Hart and he ultimately helps Angel take down the LA branch.

It is't about good and evil for Lindsay. It is about being a pawn versus being your own man. His great fear is to be like his father, so he joins Wolfram and Hart to have power, but at Wolfram and Hart, he discovers that he is always at the mercy of someone else's sadistic whims.

In Dead Things he was horrified by what Wolfram and Hart were doing and left even though they were going to give him Hollands job. By S5 he is angry that the Senior Partners were giving that Euro Trash Vampire everything he'd worked for...

No.

He doesn't come back to beg for Holland's old job. He comes back to take revenge on the Senior Partners and Angel, whom he calls a corporate puppet. Angel has lost the high ground now that he has joined WRH.

Later, Lindsey says, "Heroes don't accept the world the way it is. They fight it." That is perfectly in line with what he told Angel when he left. Whether you are a hero, like Angel, or an anti-hero, like Lindsey, don't get swept up the corporate machine.

Lindsey didn't see the light and turn good in "Dead End." He doesn't help Angel get the guinea pigs out of their pods. He shoots a security guard in the foot for giggles. The reason he leaves is that he sees that WRH is not the place to be. He never changes his mind about that.
