I am doing a SHIELD rewatch and doing a bit of reading online and Chloe Bennet (Skye) has a pretty interesting back story.

She was born in Chicago but at age 15 moved to Beijing as she was approached to become a pop star in Asia.

I imagine this is the same sense of suprise Americans got when they found out Billie Piper from Doctor Who was a teen pop star,

Love that: "approached to be a pop star". Was that by the guy Cordelia mentioned in Expecting, the one who welcomes you to LA with the bag of Fame and Fortune? I've been chasing that guy 'round for years.
