Browsing through the thread for the latest issue, it looks like many fans are pretty underwelmed with the season thus far.

Well, what if we wrote our own Season 9? What would you like to see happen?

If Angel is trying to bring back Giles, he should try to bring back Jenny and Tara, too!

For realsies though. I'd love for it to be completely about the characters again, using fantasy as a metaphor for real life worries and pain. Just like the show, but more evolved.

Buffy is in a different part of life now. She's done all the big important things and has to go back to being normal. Well, normal for her. That's interesting all by itself. Or it could be. Plus she's out of college, didn't finish, all she has is slaying . . . I mean, what does she really want out of life now? What are her actual dreams now?

I feel like that hasn't been clear for a long time. Not like it was in the early seasons. What is she working towards? These are the things I'd like to know.

I can't say what I'd change since the season has just started and I do like what I'm reading. Of course, there are things I'd love to see like a Xander/Spike friendship and Xander and Dawn being back in the slaying life - being the normal couple is harming them so much and is completely boring.

First off, I would like to actually see Angel's transition from drooling catatonia to brooding hero given a bit more detail that the just "back to normal" not seem either as easy or as quick as it is portrayed, allowing Faith to have the comic much more to herself for a couple of issues. Plus, this whole resurrecting Giles thing should have never been part of the story.

Secondly, I would go ahead and get Buffy's story line moving already. So far, almost nothing has actually happened, if you don't count Buffy waking up with a hangover wondering who she boffed the night before. There's danger afoot, and she's wasting time just wasting time. There's only half the number of issues this "Season," and she's already wasted 2 of them.

S8 was crazy, so I'm looking for a slow-paced, easy going S9. I'd like it to be back to "normal" with a oh...library or magic shop to do their Scooby investigations in? I like it so far...Freefall #1 was exactly what I wanted. Angel and Faith is alright. He's really pissing me off with the whole Giles thing. He should just let the poor guy rest...🙁

I didn't know Angel was trying to bring back Giles. Is Faith in on this? This seems like the last thing Giles would want. Remember his reaction to Willow when Buffy was brought back? Hasn't anyone learned anything? Bringing people back from the dead is never a good idea.

I'm very underwhelmed with Buffy season 9, but I am thoroughly loving "Angel and Faith"

It's still very early in the season, but Buffy needs to stop this whole "wanting to be normal" thing. It's old and boring, she's been dealing with this for 7 seasons now. I just want a great Big Bad, who challenges Buffy and the Scoobies with some personal drama on the side
