I was watching Buffy last night and I set my box-set on the coffee table. I was looking at it as it was faced away from me so I could see the back. A big Tara face was there. Just curious, why isn't Anya on it I wonder. Faith was not there THAT long (yes slayer I know) and Tara wasn't there as long as Anya. So why didn't she get a spot on the box do you think? Unless she is there and I somehow missed her. I doubt it tho.

I was thinking thesame thing about my ANGEL collection...No picture of Doyle. It surprised me, I thought he had earned a pic on the box sets.

hmm, that's odd.
Maybe they just ran out of room, but it still does not explain why they put faith instead of anya.
After all anya was there longer. More mysteries waiting to be solved..

Maybe it was because despite Faith's small number of appearences she has a much greater role in the Buffyverse than Anya?

eventhough i dont want to admit that, i think you are spot on.
Keonoite, i didn't want to be the one to say it so thanks haha. Not that i dont love anya and think she's an important character, but maybe jsut by being a slayer and all the things that happened with her, Faith gets "first dibs" so to speak.

And yeah, i just bought the angel box set and i was a little upset to not see Doyle, as i remember loving him so much and he is one of the "founding" members of angel investigations.

Hahaha...your welcome!
Hmmm I was just thinking the same thing. She's not on any of the discs either...maybe it has to do with the agents she has or something? [I know nothing about this so...]

Hmm...mildly interesting little, mystery.

Emma Caulfield quit. She wrote, and made a movie about her dissatisfaction with Hollywood called Bandwagon. Actors maintain a certain amount of control over the use of their image. Is it possible she no longer allows Fox to use her image for promotion. She would have to sign something in her contract allowing Fox to use it. How long was that good for, I wonder.

What do you mean, she quit?
Ok I'm stumped. I remeber though when I got the Buffy Boxsets on tape (yes I'm that sad loser who has both!), I think it was Season 3 part 1 and Spike and Dru were on the cover. I remember thinking that very strange considering Dru took no part in that season whatsoever and Spike was only in one ep, while Faith who played a HUGE role in the Season didn't make it onto the covers at all.

No worries. I taped them off tv when they were already on dvd...that's before the chosen collection came out tho. I have that now.

Rest assured, Miss K, that while you are many things, a "sad loser" (has anyone ever been a "happy loser" I wonder) is most certainly not one of them. I taped the episodes off the air years before the dvd's came out, and as far as I can tell, you and I were smart enough to enjoy our daily dose of Spuffy/Bangel action before the people who waited for the discs.

Thanks WA:)
I honestly think Anya deserves that spot more than Tara, Tara is a very loved character, true, but her role on the show is nothing compared to Anya's.

That is a really low and uncalled for remark. She was as much or more a part of Willows life as Anya was to Xander, plus Tara wasn't the total bitch who'd slaughtered tens of thousands of men on a PMS rampage.

I like Anya, but I think Tara's role in the Buffyverse was more significant. Tara was Willow's first female partner, therefore changing Willow's character. Tara's death was also the reason for Dark Willow. Her death impacted almost everyone in a different way.

I have to agree, although I am not a Tara fan I would have to admit she plays a bigger part. Not just with what she means to Willow but to Dawn and Buffy also. She was Buffy's confidant during that Spuffy fiasco and was stand in Mom/Sister to Dawn. Anya only ever effected Xander's life.

Oh and Kemy and Sosa speaking of PMS...lets keep it civil people😀

I see Tara the exact opposite way as in un needed and un missed. But that's just me. I'm alone I know.

I don't not miss her, I liked her but anya is way more significant than her!
I'd have to agree with the majority, Tara had an impact on more characters than Anya did. Anya had only really effected Xander (although who doesn't love the Anya/Willow scnenes...they just loathe eachother haha). However, I think Anya really should have been on the boxset...more so than Faith. Faith's a slayer I know, but Anya was there from Season 3 to the last episode of 7.

Which again...Tara. She wasn't there as long as Anya either. I realize Tara had an impact, but I was going with señority...Unless of course she didn't want to be on it. Oh well, was just curious. I love Anya, but either way the collection is pretty.

Oh I agree, Anya was more of a main character than Tara was, and really should have been there. Just trying to figure out why ^^

I think Anya deserves a spot over Tara. I'm sorry, but even though I liked Tara just fine she never clicked with the Scoobies. Never once did I feel like she was a part of the gang, accepted by everyone. She always felt like the outsider. She never really did anything either except look sheepish and awkward. Anya appeared on the show in season three and became a regular face in season four, she was hilarious, she made much more of an impression, and she was very important to Xander.

Plus I wasn't very sad to see Tara go, whereas I was downright pissed that Anya was killed off.
