has anyone read it? i have it and its the whole 7th season in a book! i know that sounds good but its not they have grammatical errors and they add too much stuff that nobody said! so i just wanted to warn anyone who was thinking of buying it.
bottom line:its horrible

if i find it i will still get it because i get anything buffy 🙂 thanks for warning though...

thanx! I heard that it is the biggest book on buffy for about 400 pgs and is only 200 or so an episode! I'll probel not bye it but ask the library to order it...

I have read it and it is pretty bad. There are so many errors. The most annoying is whenever the words 'the first' appear they ALWAYS appear like this 'The First' no matter if they are talking about The First or not. Very annoying!!

I have it! Thank god someone else notices the errors!!!
Like, if they spell potential, it comes out Potential, even if it doesnt mean Potential Slayer, and The First, and loads of other stuff!
And they missed out A LOT of funny things, what Anya and Andrew said! 🙁

Guys, it's a book... they can't have every piece of dialogue that was in Season Seven. But spelling mistakes, what's that about?😡

i dont know its just the biggest dissapointment of buffy books~ i regret buying it. they cut out too many significant parts of the episodes

Its not about them having to cut every piece Oz, its just seems that they took out all the important dialouge!

Well, for an example, what part of dialogue in Season 7 was neglected that you believe should've been in the book? Or, what was said, that you think they shouldn't have bothered with? I'm just asking so I get an idea of the contents of the book. I haven't read it yet, so I really don't know.

I wo in the book shop and spent bout half an hour reading it and it was bad and someone asked me if i was goin to by it and i said noo...

they changed anya's death- they said she was stabbed repeatedly i cant remeber what they cut out but i will go read it and post it when i find the parts

Yes, there is a lot of misquotes.. Like for instance "crabbing" instead of "crabby"... and the Anya thing, they said..

"-and the Bringer gutted her.
He stabbed her repeatedly.
And she was dead."

What a flat description..
I don't remember the stabbing repeatedly thing either..
I don't think it is the writers interpretation of the season that is bad, more so maybe the editing that ruined it.

I also remember being amused at a line that Buffy used about Willow in "Get it Done" that I was dismayed to see changed..
I remember it as " a Wicca who won't-a"
but they have it as "a Wicca who won't use magic"

Kinda takes the flair out of it.. Don't you think??
Well if you want word for word Buffy quoteage then "Chosen" the book is definitely not the place.. You'd be better off with one of the many online scripts available for each episode. But I bought it just as a reminder of what happened.. So it wasn't a disappointment to me.. And at almost 700 pages for 8 bucks.. I am ok with it.. Though the editing really needs help...
ciao all...

Now that's definitely messed up because we all know one of the major strengths of 'Buffy' is there use of dialogue - and that completely ruins the humor of Buffy's line.

If I'd known that the book was like this, with its 'stabbed her repeatedly' crap, I wouldn't have been defending the book before.

Who were the writers of the book? I'm taking a guess and saying that Christopher Golden or Nancy Holder weren't the ones.

I know! Me also! Its so strange, she's one of my favourite writers, but she disapointed me a lot throughout the book!
I know the humour probably isnt as important as the actions, or drama of the events in season 7, but its also a big part of 'Buffy Dialect' lol!

Well at least it wasn't all her, right? And we still have Christopher Golden to trust in.

i know he is great!!! but chosen is one of the worst books about buffy ever to hit the shelves
