"Chosen" is the Buffy The Vampire Slayer book that has each chapter written by a different author. It's season 7. The whole book, all 668 pages is season 7 in book form. I got it for Christmas thinking "oh this is going to be good", but in my opinion, it sucked. This is what they have for Anyas' death.

And Anya...
She slashed one.
Dropped it.
I'm winning!
I'm terrified!

And then another one came from the side.
She turned--
-Mrs. Xander Harris, that is who I'll be.
-Aud.
-Anyanka

-Anya
-and the Bringer gutted her.
He stabbed her repeatedly.
And she was dead.
--Forever, Anya.

That's EXACTLY how it is written in the book. I'm very upset that this book was written so poorly. Has anyone else read it? What do you think?

i havn't read it but yeah, i agree w/ you, they don't make anya's death seem as heroic as it was in the episode....

Everyone says the book slacked, because a lot of moments did not match up to S7, or they were not even included. I have purchased but have not got round to it, but I do not care if it is no good because I only paid 50p for it!

I was expecting a lot from the final fight scene, but they didnt even have details, really. I guess it's hard to write down a war scene, but I was expecting better. It's not like I'm saying the book is a worthless, but there could have been more work put into it.

It does have color pictures in it for season 7, so thats still a plus lol.

Let me look... There's:

One of Buffy
One of Giles
One of Buffy, Spike, and the potentials in that mauselium
One of Willow
One of Clem
One of Buffy fighting the turak-han
One of Xander
One of Andrew
One of a Bringer
One of Faith
One of Dawn
One of the cast when it was season 6.

So, sorry, no Angel 🙁

I've read it, and some parts are poorly written. But other then that it was fine by me. But I wish the could have wrote Anya's death how it actually happened
She got slashed from her shoulder down to about her stomach...
Atleast thats how it show on t.v. for me. I don't know about everyone els. But I wish they would stop saying she was gutted, and stabbed repeatedly. Because she wasn't...

But the book was fine by my standards. Considering I finished it in like 2 months 😛

I did not think that it was a very good book.

(but in my opinion, I do not like the ones written word for word like the episodes~~Chosen, Angel Chronicles, etc)

Some parts did not match up. The part I hated the worst was the last part... during the Spike/Buffy scene. In the book, she says "I love you" and Spike thinks in his mind.... 'huh, well what that girl said really came true' or something. I did not like it, because that is NOT the way it happened.

It just was not good.

the whole thing was messed up. here's what it says:

"I love you," she told him, shaking.
And there is is, then. That girl, Cassie, she told me she would say it. She didn't tell me how, or when... but it's been said.
Now I can go.

He smiled kindly. "No, you don't," he told her. "But thanks for saying it."
A quake rocked them, and Spike pushed her away.
"It's your world up there. Now go!"

I guess it wasn't that much off.

And Anya...
She slashed one.
Dropped it.
I'm winning!
I'm terrified!
And then another one came from the side.
She turned--
-Mrs. Xander Harris, that is who I'll be.
-Aud.
-Anyanka
-Anya
-and the Bringer gutted her.
He stabbed her repeatedly.
And she was dead.
--Forever, Anya.

really?!,..we should kill the writer(s)!

Send the letter Parker,I'm with ya!

yeah... those stupid writers perched in Hell, just trying to aggrivate us Buffy-book readers.

I'm in the letter too....
for their misrepresentation of the beautiful scene between Spike and Buffy in the end. Seeing it on screen with the pain in their eyes and who knows what really would've happened if the ground hadn't quaked at that moment.

Blasphemy!
