Chosen - The Book

Here is another excerpt from the book:

"What if all you could have that power? Now. All of you. In every generation one Slayer is born because a bunch of guys that died thousands of years ago made up that rule. They were powerful men."
And here she had pointed to Willow, and said the things that made Willow so uncertain:
"This woman is more powerful than all of them combined. So I saw we change the rules. I saw my power should be our power. Tomorrow Willow will use the essence of this scythe, that contains the energy and history of so many Slayers, to change our destiny.
"From now on, every girl in the world who might be a Slayer, will be a Slayer. Every girl who could have the power, will have the power. Who can stand up, will stand up.
"Every one of you, and girls we've never known, and generations to come... they will have strength that they never dreamed of, and more than that, they will have each other.
"Slayers. Everyone of us.
"Make your choise.
"Are you ready to be strong?"

There are so many errors in this book. I guess it's ok that they added extra words, but if they do add extra words, try to make the real ones right. I saw my power should be our power. Ok, so, she saw her power. That's nice. How about saying it now. And the writer made it look like people were having a conversation. It looks like dialogue, not a powerful moving speech like it was. And he didn't even finish off each paragraph with a ". Want to know the worst part? This chapter was written by Joss Whedon.

another bad thing about the book that just hit me was the amount of typos in the book. A large, large, large amount of them. Words messed up and things spelled wrong... it was like a monkey had proofread it before they sent it away to be printed.

I know right. I don't even think they had spell check on when they typed it.

You don't release a book with errors, how appalling are those writers.

I know i bought mine full price £6.99, but it wasnt as good as i'd hoped and the spelling mistakes were horrible, sometimes half the word would be missing!
we should all write a petition and complain and see if we get anything free!!lol

I never intended to buy it, but I will certainly not even make any effort to read it either.

Here is another part from the book:

As the Ubervamps swarmed to crush them, the Potentials were ready; the power was a rushing wind, a hammer blow, a slap and an embrace and true love and sure death. A fever dream... all, it was all, it was...
...appening everwhere;

YOU HERE THAT GUYS! IT WAS APPENING EVERYWHERE! DOESNT IT JUST SENT A SHIVER DOWN YOUR SPINE! IT WAS APPENING EVERYWHERE.

This book doesnt keep up with the plot either. Read this:

Silence covered her thoughts; vaguely she realized that Faith was tackling the vampire who stapped her; the Buffy fell slowly to the ground, face first.

One, the Buffy? then Buffy? Huh? And we all can clearly see that Vi was the Slayer that took out the vampire who stabbed Buffy, not Faith.

Also Buffy got stabbed not stapped. And it's àœbervamps not Ubervamps.

Oh! That's a good one Allycat, I didn't notice it was stabbed not stapped.

I got the book for Christmas as well and i thought "ya, this will be brilliant" but in reality it wasn't that great.

There were more typos than i care to mention, and the chapter that should have been called "Touched" was called "End Of Days" and the following chapter was also "End Of Days"!! I was just like wtf?

Plus, some of the really great dialogue was missed out and you just got a poor description of the scene instead. Grrrr.

All in all, very poor. I was expecting much better.

I have already, LOL. It does not bother me though, it is in a 3 in 1 edition along with Chaos Bleeds and Blood And Fog, only costed 50p so I am proud of owning it, LOL.

You're like me, LoL. Sometimes I'll buy a book and not read it for like a year lol.

i've picked it up and looked at it, and opened it then i said blah computer, i will read it later lol. what other buffy books have you read?
