Some of my close friends have talked about Anya's death, and a few of them have brought up that maybe if Anya and Xander had gotten married, Anya wouldnt have died in Chosen.
Mainly becuase of the fact they think Xander and Anya wouldve been paired up instead of Anya/Andrew, Dawn/Xander.
Do you think this is true?
I was thinking about this, but I doubt very much Buffy would have let Dawn pair with Andrew.
What do you think would've happened?
I personally blame Andrew for Anya's death. I really wish Xander had been with Andrew, he could handle himself, and Anya with Dawn becuase face it, little Dawnie saved Xander's life with that curtain!

I think that Xander would have still paired with Dawn to protect her...but maybe the pairings all around would have been a bit different...he might have refused to be seperated from her...but then again it's what's best for the fight so I guess we'll really never know...

Then, maybe, Xander would have died protecting Anya.

They probably would've put Giles with Dawn? And Wood with Andrew? That would've been smarter. It evens out the strength more.

I think Anya would still have died. You know how JW loves heart ache, and if the pairings had have been like Oz sed, it would have been so sad to have Xander watch her die, maybe she would have had a bigger death scene if that was the case.

Oh I totally forgot about Wood/Giles!
That could've worked!

The pairings should of been so different.
In a Alternate Scene, Xander did die, I beleive.

I think that it would have been great if Andrew sacrificed himself to save Anya. I think that this would really have established him as a "good guy" and secured a place in our hearts (thoes of us who were on the fence) for him. It would have been really noble of him, which is where I feel like they were trying to take the character anyway.... I think this would have been a sure ticket.

Joss felt he had to get rid of someone and he got rid of someone who was not willing to return.
