I thought it was an awesome episode. I really didn't want anya or spike to die. It was so emotional. It did have funny parts two like d and d. hehe.

I voted for need to think about it, I would like to see this eppy again before I make my final decision, though I do like it a lot.

i thought it was a brilliant episode to end the series with, but i didn't feel like it was the best int he series, i think mainly because it wasn't as emotionally shocking as, say, the gift or the body. i cried at the end of the gift.. i couldn't believe what had just happened.
in chosen it was like i had this inner big, big, big, big sigh of relief.. much like buffy would have had when she smiled 🙂

I loved all the episodes cept this one i mean i did but i didn't but i did i dont know still thinking and will be thinking for along time or untill season 5 of angel which ever comes first.

I think it was a good episode, but I felt like they were rushing and it should have a two part episode.

What a disapointment! From what started out to be a possible classic season, it finished with probably the weakest of all the season finales. Nothing was made of the fact that the first kept taking the form of Buffy, was she really dead? would she be taken back? To me this was an important part of Buffy's own story and in the end we learned nothing. The addition of Caleb only served to confuse the issue, whether it was the fact contractual obligations led Nathan Fillion (Caleb) into Buffy due to the cancellation of 'Firefly' where he played captain Malcolm Reynolds one can only guess. The story would have lost nothing if he hadn't been introduced. So what next? Movie, books, spin off? who knows, I only wish that chosen had felt like the last ever episode not like a book with the last page missing.

I thought it was alright. It went by pretty fast. It was a good episode, but I dont think it was that great for a searies finale. Although, the acting was great in it.
i found it was incomplete it didnt give me any feelings of closure it left a lot things hanging in the wind the ep. itself was ok it would have been a good season end but not a good series final i am left quite disapointed

I agree with mmmdonuts here. I felt that it was a very satisfying ending (for me) and a great, powerful episode, but definitely not my favorite BtVS episode of all time... probably not in the top ten. (So I voted for "1 of gud ones.")

Great episode, but way toooo short, should have been 2 hour finale. Left some open ends , which is good if they decide to bring it back later (could happen). Guess we will have to wait and see what Angel brings next season.

You know you've watched the greatest episode ever when you're complaining about it being too SHORT! It was a 5 part finale, and it was "short" (if you want to count all 5 Caleb episodes).
OK, it wasn't my favorite (OMWF was), but it was pretty good.
The first took the form of Buffy because she had died, and thus could take her form. If that's not the answer, then I don't understand the question.

It was OK, I wouldn't go as far as to say it was 'crap'. It was a good episode. I would have liked it more if it had been in the middle of a season.
As a finale, though, too much of the previous season was ignored and hence left unresolved. I get that the First can impersonate Buffy cos she'd died, but where does the First go? It lies dormant again I expect, but we're shown nothing except the Buffy impersonation vanish.
I too have a problem about how easy the uberVamps were to kill, although I've read a resonable explanation which did occur to me whilst watching, but wasn't made clear enough.
I think I'm in the minority here when I say that I'm not a fan of all the slayers being 'activated'. I was wondering why early in the season they began to use the term 'activate' rather than 'call', now I get it. They were building up to all the potential slayers being activated, but not called. There are not going to be watchers 'calling' the slayers to do battle with evil. They'll just have increased physical strength and nothing but their peers to take it out on - a recipe for chaos if I ever saw one.

'Chosen' had some great elements, but was hampered by mistakes made earlier in the season on a lot of fronts and a blatant mishandling of the First Evil and all that which was associated with it. Even some of the stuff I enjoyed (the Slayer activation in particular) could/can be construed as mistakes given that they inadvertently invalidate/render useless/are rendered useless by some of the episode's other plot points.
