Came across this and thought it was (mildly) interesting. Fifty Shades is not a serious literary piece nor does it pretend to be.....sometimes the amount of attention it receives makes me think people give it more credit than it deserves.

That list is fine and everything, but the problem with that is, it's not unwarranted criticism. I feel like that list actually better applies to something like Twilight that is bad but probably not deserving of the huge amount of obsessive hate some people give it. Personally, I don't think there's enough Fifty Shades hate. And that's the problem 😉

Ya know boufay, between you and tooke you are making me actually want to read it just to see how bad it is. I am really tempted to. I mean, this is the first time I have EVER had a desire to read it and its because of hearing how bad it is.

that has got to be the funniest thing I read.. now add lyrificus on the list... I must read it now. That line just sold me. Here, take my $5, I must read more. I am into literary sadomasochism so that book will be like christmas morn.

Don't do it. That's the kind of thinking that made me watch the movie. "Surely it can't be THAT bad." HA!

Read the free sample on Amazon. That will be enough. As soon as you hear how the Americans talk you'll know enough lol

I dont know.. I am almost done with chapter two and I can say I love reading it. It fills me both with hope and sadness.
