Peter Richardson director of 80s comedy films from "comic strip production" starting with "the supergrass" and more recently stellar street is making a world war II comedy called "Churchill the hollywood years" starring christian slater in the lead.
basically the plot is Winston Churchill as we know him is infact "roy bubbles" an actor hired for proppaganda. the real churchill is infact an american GI (taking the piss out of all the hsit US films where they make the historically english characters yanks) who singlehandledly stole the enigma machine.
i got to see the first 20 min fo the currently cut when the director came to give a talk 😀
