I was just wondering what you'll thought of this new Christina Aquilera, becuase MTV holland was just announcing that it was the "Clip of the Week" with the comment, Christina has a reputation to keep up with making shocking clips! ... Do you agree with them? What do you think of the clip?
 
I love the new Christina, I dont care if its slutty its she expressing herself ! And never before have I heard a pop princess go from "This is me, I am so nice" to "Im me, acccept it" and songs like "Beautiful" and "Im Okay".

I love those songs and the new Christina 😀
 
Christina Aguilera is awesome, her new album is blinding, i love all the songs, she does her voice so much justice! She does have talent and i say good luck to her if she wants to wear a minisule little kilt and dance around loads of men, i sure would! Beautiful is a lovely song, my fave is "walk away" and "impossible", that was written by alicia keys. I saw the diary of not long ago and she sang most of her album lying on her back, if theres one album to get, hers would be it, seriously impressive.
 
I saw that diary of aswell, she looked so cute in it, for once not that much make-up. I think the songs really great, and I love the clip, it's even better than Kelly Rowlands "Stole" ... I can't believe that stupid MTV ***** said it's shocking, why the hell would that be?
 
Going against everyone here by the looks of things, I just don't like her. Her music is ok, not something that I would listen to by choice I'll admit and I take it that they were referring to the 2 men kissing, tongues and all! I guess some would find that shocking but I don't see what the big fuss was all about.🙂
 
Me neither ... do you guys all know that other clip in which we just see to people kissing, close-up on the lips and the tongues ... that were guys too, we never complainted there, off course we didn't know, but that just indicates, that it's not strange at all!
 
The song is okay, but she is starting to look like a girl who has a lot of social diseases. Do all you girls like to look like skanks?
 
LMAO!! Certainly not me! I mean if you've got it flaunt it, but there's ways to go about it that don't make you look like you spent last night on the street touting for custom! 'lol' 😀 She obviously doesn't care what people think of her, so fair play to her.🙂

Allycat Would that song/video you mentioned be by George Michael - the video featured 2 cops kissing, if I remember rightly?
 
No, you just see two pairs of lips and two tongue, a small part of the chin and the cheeks, nothing more ... it was a trance or dance songs, so I zapped away quickly! I don't remember the title!
 
I like Christinas new song and video, I think it's awesome that she's showing what she is in the video. People shouldn't be shocked to see it, they should realise that some people are controlled by the media and that there is an image of what we "should" look and be like, and the damage it can do to people.
Well thats what I got from it anyway.
 
All the media have been slagging her off but at the end of the day, the Dirty video is just showing you what every other video does now days. It's all based on relationships, boys and sex. This get's teenagers interested which is who it's aimed at. A kids TV show in the morning SMTV Live told her to tidy up her act if she was to perform Dirty. They made her cover herself up but I definately didn't go with the song!
 
call my cynical and nasty but I don't think the "new" christina is the real her showing who she is etc. etc. I'd say the record company decided they'd ake more cash marketing her as a slut than a princess. I doubt she would have had much say in making the clip really, I think it's more like "OK honey, you do just what we say and the $$$ will keep rolling in."
I have to confess a rather pointed dislike of manufactured pop.
If you want some really, really good stuff you all should go and buy the new album from In Flames. \m/ ::evil:: \m/
 
I like Christina new look. I think it was yesterday that Dave Holmes told E! that Christina should take a bath, because of hair
and she looked to glitterly. I really don't care. I like her new look,
her voice is much better then ever, her songs are terrific and can't
wait to see her more.

Bravo! ... Is there a better way to put it in words. I don't know wether she had a lot of influence on the clip, however she co-wrote parts of the album, so she had influence on the songs and the clips are inspired by the songs, so in a way Christina chose for this subject to be taken into protest!
 
I don't like her new song in fact I can't stand her voice at all. Her voice is so annoying and cold. If she wants to dress like a slut fine by me. People should dress the way they want too and if she is comfortable with it so be it 🙂
 
If you had listened to "stripped" i think you will find that it actually isn't "manufactured pop". I'm not a pop girl at all and i love christina's latest album, cos its amazing. No i don't dress like a skank, i think a lot of christina's clothes are pretty rough but at the end of the day i couldn't care less if she wants to dress as a slut, that doesn't make her one.
 
Well, firstly, i dont like her new look, coz shes a beautiful girl and i know its on the inside (blah blah with reference to her song) but she doesnt look beautiful at the moment.
But her voice - wow! Beautiful is one of the most stunning songs i have heard and im thinking about buying her new album.
Some might say shes so confident to dress like that but i think the opposite - i think she has self esteem issues and dresses like that as she has a desire to be liked.

I like Christina's new song. I think it's really nice and has a good message for everyone, to just be happy with who you are and don't let anybody make you feel bad about yourself just because your different...

But on the other side of the coin, i really don't like her new look. I'm sure that she's a very pretty girl underneath all of her make up and i really don't think dressing like a slapper and possing topless for men's magazines is doing her any justice. But at the end of the day, it's her life and her bussiness about what she does with it, so if she honestly feels that the real her is a skanky hoe and that she really needs to make herself look like one, then fair play to her. At the end of the day that's what her song is all about. Being true to yourself.
