Christmas & Halloween!

Although I do love Halloween, we never seem to get to do anything 🙁 We don't get trick or treaters and we don't actually socialise, so we have no parties to go to 🙁 So I'm just focusing on xmas at the mo. I have to be organised or I won't be able to spread the cost out for everything I want to buy people, so I've already started xmas shopping! 🙂 It's always so hard to find gifts for people though :S People usually get gift vouchers as at least one stocking filler from me lol

I think i left the majority of my christmas shopping down to the final 10 days last year haha
I'm looking forward to the Christmas markets. We always go to Birmingham's German market and although its not fabulous it's gets me in the Xmas mood 🙂 we're also going to a Halloween party at my friends house which I'm looking forward too 🙂
 
I'm pretty excited for Halloween this year. I've had a tradition that I've kept alive for at least five or six years of reading Batman: The Long Halloween and watching Hocus Pocus, but with me being away at school and having forgot both at home, I'm starting a new tradition of watching the S2 Halloween episode of Buffy. So pumped.
 
We usually get quite a few trick or treaters around our way so any movie you try to watch is interrupted every 20 mins or so lol.

I think this year i will probably watch The Thing (John Carpenter) and probably the first Halloween movie.

As for Christmas i haven't even started any shopping yet. Got my Dad's birthday coming up so I'll be getting something for him before the end of the week. As for Christmas i can imagine I'm going to end up spending about £900+ haha.
 
I remember the Coca Cola Wagon! Loved that advert as a kid, still do now, as a big kid lol.

Few of the neighbors have started to put christmas lights up, tad bit early for me!
 
What plans does everyone have this year for Christmas?

I'm going to be at home with my daughter and her Dad is coming over to stay for Christmas so he can join in on the fun and be here for my daughter. I'll be Skyping with my family in Spain in the morning and a few Merry Christmas calls during the day from other family. Neighbours popping in to swap pressies Christmas Eve. I'm so excited hehe...

It's going to be chaos as my daughter's birthday party is on the 23rd!! SO chaos will reign!!
 
Working every day bar Christmas day, will be going out for Christmas dinner with mum this year, other than that not sure yet
 
Christmas banner is up, Fb cover pik is up, my daughter puts her tree up with her Dad on Tuesday and the main decs on Sat 😀 getting more excited now lol...
 
2 weeks to go!!! Are you ready for it?? All I need now is my shopping on the Friday before. All pressies are wrapped and ready to go.

Now turns out Abs dad has Christmas Eve off work so he can spend more time with Abs 🙂
 
NOT LONG TO GO!!!! Lol.

Every got their shopping done? I think I've spent about £600 so far, still got a few things to get as well.

All shopping done. Spent around £12/$19. So glad to no longer be involved in the gift craze surrounding the holiday. Don't get me wrong, gifts can be very nice but often it goes out of hand and become some sort of competition. Not everyone have much money to spend so they either get in "trouble" for buying more than they should or go around feeling guilty for not being able to give more.

I know. It took me all year to save up as i have quite a few people to buy for (about 8/9 in total), and with losing my job a month or so ago, I'm glad i had started saving early. I don't usually tend to go all out spending at christmas, I've still got a bit left back for myself for next year,splashed out a bit more this year as the rest of the year has been up and down for the family.
 
Well all my shopping is done. This is the first year I've had the means to do a pretty good Xmas, so I went a bit overboard. I had 5 people to shop for and spent a little over $1,000. I'm incredibly excited for Xmas, I love giving gifts. 😀
 
I got all my shopping done yesterday! 🙂 So glad to have it done....buying presents can be so stressful with the insane crowds.
