I have a crazy bunch of inlaws especially brother in law who recently told me to f off because i wanted to do thanksgiving and so did he , not looking forward to xmas, how do i please the hubby but keep out of the crazyness when i am around them , suggestions welcome!

My sympathies to you! I have dealt with crazy, drama-loving in-laws for almost 11 years now. It is always stressful to deal with 'cause you need to be able to be civil to them so as to avoid putting a strain on your marriage. :\

In the past, I have refused to go to holiday gatherings with his side of the family, and while that kept me from stressing out and getting upset, it made my hubby resent me for it. My advice to you would be to suck it up if you can and be around them, even if it makes you unhappy for a little while... It's up to you to decide if a happy marriage is worth it. 😉

Yer you are really guna have to ignore and deal I think. For your hubby's sake. And arrange to do something really nice after so you have something to look forward to once the stress is gone 😀

Ah family drama.. Goodluck! I agree with Nix, just forget about the past arguments and have a good time for your hubbys sake.

Im avoiding my own family this year to spend it with my boyfriends family, it has to be better than my family Christmas's! Could be interesting...

derose1973 My two Aunt's use to fight over who did Thanksgiving. Now, it seems that they alternate who does Thanksgiving every year.

So... that's a thought too. If your in-laws would be willing to alternate every year. (if this is about who celebrates what holiday at who's house.)

If it's not then yeah, go w/ what Nix said
