No I don't care that you Americans haven't had thanksgiving yet!

This year has gone so quickly, I can't believe Christmas is only a month away. I have done most of my shopping for it over the last week, even getting presents wrapped up. Still have a few more to buy though, but I'm not going crazy with shopping.

I don't see the point of buying loads of food, I tend not to get a lot if visitors anyway.

Stores are already all decorated for Christmas and playing bad Christmas music. (Last night I heard the first of the 1,500 playings of "Jingle Bell Rock" that I will hear over the next month.) People are putting up Christmas lights already. And it feels bizarre to me. It feels like it was summer about a week ago.

Every year it seems I have a harder time getting in the Christmas mood.

I feel horrible. It's two days away from Thanksgiving and I haven't even put up my Thanksgiving lights yet. I don't even want to think about Christmas. This year has moved at a rapid pace.

This year is going to fast to keep up.
I’m looking forward to the holiday, but I haven’t done a single thing to get ready for it. What I enjoy most about the holiday is a lazy day with the family, enjoying board games and puzzles, plus lots of good food and drinks.

I get the feeling as though I will get in the Christmas spirit in January or February. Even now, I keep thinking, it should be Halloween soon. So yeah. Too fast. Too short.

the weather in CA is adding to it also, we’re still getting days in the high 80’s low 90’s.
I'm so thankful to not own a radio, I've yet to hear a single Christmas song and I want that to last until December 1st 🙂

I'm halfway done with my gift shopping and will finish once I get my paycheck next Thursday; for years now I've made sure to get all my Christmas shopping done before the first week of December is done. It takes away sooo much of the stress, especially since December isn't just Christmas and New Years and Christmas parties for me, it's also my birthday. All that on top of each other can get stressful as all hell.

I'm not here. This isn't happening.

Christmas is the best holiday and I started listening to Christmas music the day it started playing on the radio. I will be obsessed with all things Christmas until it happens. Deal with it.

Oh my god, I am normally all done by now and waiting to put up the decorations. Not so much this year 😱

This year I'm only 2/3rds done with presents and nothing is wrapped including the main birthday present and Christmas presents have not even been bought yet.....sigh... money is tight this year and I blew my dish in the summer holidays... never again... next year I am saving with Park to ensure I am ready and armed lol....

I have to do 2 Christmas dinners this year. One for my Brother and his family and the other on the day itself.

That being said I am actually still excited for it all and have Christmas music playing now!!! (Which is no surprise if you know me - lol)

This year I get to experience my 4th family Xmas with actual family members other than my folks. I met some cousins of mine a few years back and it seems the family relationship is progressing to the point that we'll have a Xmas lunch together (well, Xmas Eve). I saw them last year for Boxing Day and I'm surprised that they're all coming back, seeing that my Dad started an argument about religion and managed to piss off half the family members in the room, so huzzah for that!

On actual Xmas day, I'll be with two of my best mates, like last year, and their family.

I might even decorate the house this year with all my Xmas decorations- my 15cm plastic tree with a lonely piece of tinsel 😛

There's a local station that starts playing xmas music on Thanksgiving. Sorry, but that's just too darned early! 😵

3 sleeps till the decorations go up 😀 I've finished Abbs birthday presents (apart from wrapping) so that's good. All I have to do is pick up her Dad's computer as that is her main Christmas present this year (seen as he has only switched it on twice, what a massive waste!). I'll leave the wrapping as I have one more shop to hit, then I'm hopefully done. Only then will I wrap everything as I forget what I've got who otherwise. Also nearly time to post the Christmas cards.... I love sending them to people and spreading a little Christmas cheer. (although there is no money inside lol).

Getting excited now even though I'm late with everything for me.....

I love Christmas. I get two weeks off work and spend loads of time with friends and family. Unfortunately I can't stand Christmas shopping or anything Christmas related before December. I just think it takes away from the fun. Next year I reckon some people will be sticking decorations up in October.

Agreed, its a 2/3 day event, not a 3 month event!
