Cinnamon Buns????

I think Satsu was the one that kissed Buffy.
Why:
When Buffy sat up she said Cinnamon Buns.
When she asked Satsu for some lip balm, it was cinnamon flavored.

So I am wondering if it was her OR is Josh W. just having some fun with us (the readers). Like maybe later we'll find out that she lent it to some one else & we don't know about it. (That would be just like J.W.)

Don't products that are flavored cinnamon have a spicier taste? And then cinnamon buns are sweeter? That's what I've thought so I think there isn't a lotta connection there. And yeah, I've also thought it got lent to her by another Slayer or someone else.

Pretty sure that the cinnamon thing is a red herring. Especially since Satsu didn't appear to be in the room with everyone else during the big kiss.

i think Satsu might have been in the room...maybe i'm looking at it wrong, but in the panel where Willow's telling everyone to close there eyes, there's a girl standing on the left hand side, the second girl behind Xander, before the Scottish Slayer with the big hair. she kinda looks like Satsu.

no one's saying that buffy's in love with the person who kissed her. the only stipulation was that the person had to be in love with Buffy.

OK, one more for a comparison then. Here's the "no doubt about it" Satsu then.

It's really kinda hard to tell. I mean the eyes are a different color, but that could be a coloring mistake. Personally, I think it is her in the room. I mean, the running theme has been those 3 slayers are seen together in every issue. I don't think I've seen one of them and the other 2 haven't been in the panel somewhere. They've focused on them from the 1st issue.

But Satsu has been VERY easy to pick out in crowds before, epecially because of the hair. The outfit is different and the eyes are different, so if it was SUPPOSED to be her, Jeanty did a pretty poor job of conveying it. Not to mention if Satsu was the kisser, she SHOULD have been plainly visible in the room. She is not. In fact she is the only one of Alpha team that is NOT seen clearly. So again, I doubt it was her. If it was, the blocking for the kiss scene was horrible.

Edit: That and her outfit is wrong, the last time we see Satsu she is wearing differnt clothes, and it was the same night.

Ok, let's continue the pictorial investigation then.

In the Zombie fight in the courtyard she's wearing a lose green shirt with some kind of skin tight Tshirt beneath. Her hair is flat in the front, and spiked in the back. (at least I'm assuming this is her)

The slayers come inside after the battle. Willow wakes Buffy. Willow is taken captive. An operation is immediately organized to rescue Willow. Satsu is recruited.

Satsu returns to the girls dorm and readies her battle gear. Her hair is now flattened front and back.

They attack the military base

Hey, nothing to do with your discussion but I just noticed some cute Satsu stuff.

Satsu personalizes her battlegear. She must be one of the most creatively dressed soldiers in the history of warfare.

Here she is in her cat hat in the issue # 1 attack on the tower.

Satsu is an interesting theory, Joss has definately tried to make her character stick out, with all the accessorizing. But I still say 'yawn' to the smoocher being a slayer I don't know. Oh well, I need to get out of this thread, #4 hasn't arrived at my house yet.

Btw, it's Joss' birthday today, and was mine yesterday 😉

The floating feet from issue 1 were leading me away from the Satsu theory, but when I go back, and check, those feet are over that citadel place where they fight the monsters. They're not over the Scottish castle. So, if it's not Satsu who does the kissing, who is it? The flying feet guy no longer applies, unless he's tailing them around the UK in the air which seems silly. The way the spell is described, and other stuff seems to disclude Willow and Xander.

Here's something interesting. You see the modified female symbol HERE on the blue button on Satsu's label, below the "Rude Girl" one? Does anybody know what the symbol signifies? I don't, but on a hunch I googled "bisexual symbol" and found THIS. There was no information on it though.

Well, thanks, but I'm not sure it was her myself. I just can't figure out who it would be, if it's not.
