  • Slick plastic panels bare your knees for a futuristic feel in tapered and cropped high-waist jeans.
  • 25" inseam; 12" leg opening; 11" front rise; 15 1/2" back rise (size 28)
  • Zip fly with button closure

I fail to see the point of these things.

Oh wow, why didn't I think of that? Oh, I know, because it looks stupid.

I have the classic engineer's disdain for fashion and this is one of the reasons why.

How long do think it would be till those plastic panels crack or tear?

Vinyl doesn't last long on something like a convertible top. Minimum folding temperature for a vinyl top is 5°C/41°F so wearing these in a northern climate would lead to cracking. It could not be machine washed or dried. And really, do your knees look so spectacular that you want windows in your jeans so other people can see them?

I think the fashion at the moment (Well in the UK at least) is for jeans with the knees ripped open. I guess this is just taking it to the next (ridiculous) level?

Looking at the pics even the model doesn't look to pleased to be wearing them 🙄

I have seen numerous lil birds wearing jeans like that... minus the plastic. They just cut big square holes like that in their jeans.

like this...

Me being the little neurotic OCD ass that I am, I would rather the smooth edges and no fray from the Nordstrom one.

Well, as someone who does claim to understand fashion, you wouldn't catch me dead wearing that crap. Those jeans are garbage - tacky and clearly low quality. 95 dollars for that?!

Don't like that style either @Mr. Pole. It's unflattering and the jeans just look "unbalanced". The cuts have to be smaller. And those jeans are probably uncomfortable because of the holes.

Oh I saw Tom Lenk recreate this look on Instagram! He complained of sweaty knees. I'd rather wear comfortable trousers than this riot. Women's clothes are generally uncomfortable, so much so I daydream about my pyjamas a lot.

Okay. The first jeans just look ridiculous. They would always be awful, but I can't pinpoint if it's the plastic, the crop/length of the jeans, the colour of them, matched with the shoes; they look like the worst pair of jeans I've EVER seen. I feel sick just looking at them. Not to be melodramatic, but I am going to kill myself.

The second pair of jeans are fairly standard these days. I remember wearing jeans with holes. I actually paid for them. And I would always make the holes bigger when I got them home. There are lots of negatives to holey jeans, #1 probably being that they look ridiculous, but someone spilling a drink on your lap at the pub also sucks. They are probably not the best jeans for clumsy people in general.

As horrid as those plastic holes are, nothing can beat the 'sagging' trend for utter ridiculousness.
I mean, if one has to either hold them, or waddle like a duck to keep their pants on. What's the point?

Tell me about it 🙂 I love fashion, my wardrobe and creating outfits, but as soon as I'm home, I'm out of my clothing in a flash (also take off the minimal makeup I have on and my contact lenses). Even if I have to leave again in a half hour, if I have time, I'll rather be in my pyjamas for ten minutes.

This week, I went to my parents' house. I usually don't take any clothing with me 'cause my stay is very brief, so I only had with me my favorite leather pants which suffered a minor tear (in the stitching, it's easy to fix), so I decided to wear this brown jeans (yuck) that I've had for ages. They don't fit very well, but they're not uncomfortably tight as long as I'm not sitting. I was going to wear them on my train home... and five minutes in, decided I wasn't going to make it! I had to change into my stretchy leather pants in the restroom of the train, in a series of complicated maneuvers which left me nauseous for half an hour 🙄 Still, it was so worthy it! 3+ hours on uncomfortable jeans? What a nightmare. I also took of my bra because it was strapless and a push up... I thought my clothes were trying to suffocate me 🙂

These are the jeans for me! My knees are my best feature. I can't wait to get a pair and stroll through the city. Everyone will be watching and whispering "look at the knees on her". Not! But every generation needs a slayer and some poor fashion choices. Remember toe socks? Flash dance leg warmer thingies. There were jeans that had see through butts at one time. Oh and giant shoulder pads in jackets, those were totally rocking.

I've never seen the point in this sort of fashion. Pushing the envelope is fine, but those jeans just look STUPID.
