I think he's a bit overrated as well. He's okay, but I'm not crazy about him. I think this may be related to sense of humour - people say he's very funny, but I only find him mildly amusing.
I don't think it's fair to consider his kitten-eating immoral though, unless you feel the same way about eating pigs, cows, and other more commonly eaten animals. I would never eat cats myself, and the thought of other people doing so makes me unhappy, but that's just because I like them - it doesn't have anything to do with morality.
