Close Your Eyes Question

I'm fact curious about something. When would the first and the last time be we hear the Buffy/Angel theme Close Your Eyes.

I'm just going by memory. I'm thinking maybe Surprise to I Will Remember You. Does that sound right? Was it really in IWRY though, or was that more a variation?

I actually watched IWRY last night and tried to hear if they were playing that theme or not, I didn't remember to do that all the time though so I'm not sure but I think that they never played it, just some similair tunes..

I'll have to watch the episode later, I haven't seen it in a while. But my GUESS is that it might be the same song, or at least a version of it. They do use it quite a bit on BTVS with any bangel-y scene, so it would make sense if they used it in IWRY too, obviously.

I'll grab some of my old eppies later (coulda sworn it was in episode "Angel" first, and last... well I'm not 100% sure, I'd assume "Chosen" but maybe it was IWRY), see where it's there.

It's funny that you ask that...I was watching Graduation Day Pt. 1 on the weekend and I remember thinking in the Buffy/Angel discussion (speech) that they didn't use their theme..and I remember thinking "why?" .... so I'm thinking it was probalby before that then? It was the talk in the street right before Faith shot Angel with a poison arrow..about how Buffy can't live without him..so it was a perfect 'theme song' moment. 😉

It's hard to say. I don't remember it being played much during season three, but perhaps that's just me!

I know it's definitely at the end of season two, so I'll have to rewatch a couple eps in season three and listen for it. And I guess force myself to watch IWRY 🙂, and see if it's there.

I watched IWRY the other night and the theme is in there... oh, i love that episode so much....

Yeah it's definitely the exact same theme song in IWRY.....I also love that episode....one of my very favorites.

I think I remember Surprise being the first time we ever heard the Buffy/Angel love theme but I could be wrong.

It's also in season 5 of Buffy, In Forever when Buffy and Angel Kiss the theme tune starts and when they break apart the song changes!

That's where I heard it. I knew I heard it later on, I just couldn't remember where. Yeah, when Angel comes to the cemetary for Joyce's funeral, right? Thanks BEG.

The theme also plays in "The Gift" during the scene where Buffy and Giles are sitting together on the couch and she's talking about how she killed Angel to save the world. Then when she says "I just wish my mom was here" the music goes over to Christophe Beck's "Sacrifice".
