Close Your Eyes

Ahh, the Modtastic! So scary how closely you watch these threads...... 😉 😛 😛
Thank you much for the info, Fred! :: tu ::

OLD MASTER 2.0: That's just...nasty...I'm not gonna say anything abo...ewww.I need to watch IWRY and listen to CLose Your Eyes!-Bangel is gonna help me to not reply saying mean stuff lol

LOL....ok, I know what you're talking about now.

Lighten up girls....it's just an American EXPRESSION, LOL....but I do apologize for causing any unsavory visuals anyway... 😛 😛

Just don't think about.....learn to deal with the images, just like I have to learn to deal with images of SPANGEL all the time......ICK!......ICK! 😛

Anyhoo, back on topic.....
"CLOSE YOUR EYES", excellent song.....I can't seem to remember though.....where was the very last episode of BUFFY or ANGEL to play that theme? Was it Joyce's funeral?

lol🙂...okay😀...sorry for the Spangel stuff but Ann isn't guilty this time...Rayne is my partner in crime😛

Yup,..I think you're right,...it was in Forever

I always used to call it the Buffy/Angel theme, then when I realized it was called Close Your Eyes, I had an epiphany.

Isn't that what Buffy says to Angel just before she kills him? - "Close your eyes". It gave me shudders when I connected those dots.

Also, I'm not sure about this, but doesn't Close Your Eyes have the distinction of being the only piece of music that made the transition from Buffy to Angel. I think Magui's right. I think there's an altered version of the piece in I Will Remember You.

Ah, so pretty and sad. I'm not a big Bangel fan but the song really did fit them so well. Christopher Beck truly is an wonderful composer.

I have the piano music... It's in the "Watcher's guide". It's very small but I copied it out onto readable sized manuscript... that's how much I love it! 😀

such a good song, like everyone says. Yeah, I always thought it was just "Buffy and Angel Love Theme" too -- actually it says that on the CD "Close Your Eyes -- Buffy and Angel Love Theme by Christophe Beck".... I think? I can't really remember! Anyway, beautiful and sad, it really is.... Perfect for Buffy/Angel's relationship, because it's kind of steady and simple in the beginning, and then it gets a little more dramatic, then more dramatic, and then that really loud part (representing the Upset of All Things) and then it sort of dies down.

I liked checking out this topic because it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to see some fellow B/A fans! sans B/S. There NEEDS to be a topic where we can bash each other and get all that tension out, though!

Oh, yeah, one last thing; anyone interested in the piano sheet music?? Tell me and I'll email you the url. There's other sheet music, too, like The Sacrifice from "The Gift" and, I think, Buffy and Riley's Love Theme... But who would want THAT? 🙄

oooo I love Full of Grace its one of my fav songs it so fitting to the storyline...it makes me cry whenever I see that part and the music starts..🙁

that full of grace is that the song at the end of series 2 goes something like "the winter is calm and bbitter, ohhhh never felt so lonely" i dont know much of it but i like oit if its is the one thats says " and oh lord i feel like letting go, witha ll the strength and of the courage... i know i can... better than this" if thats it can someone send it to me via email please or tell me the author and song name and where i can download it for free please

The song is "Full Of Grace" by Sarah Maclachlan. We can't tell you where you can download that for free as we do not endorse illegal downloading here at Buffy-Boards.

I love this song too.

When you listen to it on the CD you can picture in your head what is happening on this bit and whenthe big finish sounds you know that is the bit where she killed Angel 🙁

Yeah the song really has become the staple of the Buffy & Angel music theme.

I think its been played alot, even after.

The song did fit perfectly with the greatest love in the Buffyverse and then Buffy making a huge decision, but she had to :lsvader:

lyrics to "Full of Grace":

The winter here's cold, and bitter
it's chilled us to the bone
we haven't seen the sun for weeks
to long too far from home
I feel just like I'm sinking
and I claw for solid ground
I'm pulled down by the undertow
I never thought I could feel so low
oh darkness I feel like letting go

If all of the strength and all of the courage
come and lift me from this place
I know I could love you much better than this
full of grace
full of grace
my love

So it's better this way, I said
having seen this place before
where everything we said and did
hurts us all the more
its just that we stayed, too long
in the same old sickly skin
I'm pulled down by the undertow
I never thought I could feel so low
oh darkness I feel like letting go

If all of the strength
and all of the courage
come and lift me from this place
I know I could love you much better than this
full of grace
full of grace
my love

"Full of Grace" is on the CD Surfacing

Hi I'm new and I was wondering if you could send me the url for all of the sheet music. I would really appreciate it, Thanks.

They've always done a kick a** job on the music for Buffy.
The soundtrack to the musical is cool, on the end there's
the music from the HUSH ep and the music during her dream
sequence from the last ep of season 4.
