What happened afterwar

WILLOW AND TARA ROSENBERG-MACLAY: Following the events of 2003, Willow and Tara left Sunnydale for England where they settled at the Watchers Institute at Westbury where they served as lecturers for the Institute's Witch contingent in the Ethics and Practice of Magic for the next thirty years, Along the way, they were involved in a number of humanitarian interventions such as the evacuation of the Netherlands and Belgium during Hyperstorm Belisarius in 2038. Their daughter Alexandra became a powerful mage in her own right and like her mothers, spent some time working as a field agent alongside the slayer Akola Nkaseita in Capetown in the 2020s, alongside wereleopard Luke Osborne-Mercer. The two of them fell in love and by the 2030s, the Rosenberg-MacLays were grandparents, They also fought with distinction against the zombie apocalypse of 2053, even though both of them were in their seventies at the time. Both women died within hours of each other in January 2073, surrounded by their grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their bedsides.

DOUGLAS AND DANIEL OSBORNE-MERCER: After the events of 2003, Doug and Oz travelled the world. For most of the Noughties, the two men were stationed in Doug's native New Zealand, where he found that his renegade sister had left a hitherto unknown baby son, Luke. Doug decided to bring Luke up as his own son and in 2013, Doug and Oz finally married one another when he returned to the United Kingdom to serve on the Watchers Council during the long presidency of Dr Alessandra Norton, who had to work tirelessly to remedy the damage that Quentin Travis' negligence and incompetence had wrought on the Council during his period of hidebound conservative rule. When Doctor Norton died in 2039, Doug became Watchers Council President. He watched on as his stepson Luke served alongside the South African vampire slaer Akola Nkaseita in the 2020s and strongly approved of the match when Alexandra Rosenberg-MacLay and he tied the knot. As for Daniel "Oz" Osborne, he was able to continue with his musical career for many years and became a treasured BBC musical commentator. When the United States disintegrated into the warring Core United States and Theocracy in 2030s, Doug and Oz served within the CUS military, and were responsible for the evacuation of many paranormals from Theocracy territory. Unfortunately, despite his advancing age, Doug undertook one battle too many and perished in 2059, warding off a thaumaturgic first strike against Anglowales from hostile Rodnian sorcerors, but at the cost of his own life. Although this widowed Oz, who had long since lost his werewolf abilities, he was able to live out his final years cherished by his own grandhildchildren before he passed away in 2062. He is still treasured as one of the greatest composers and performers of late twentieth and early twenty first century popular music.

IMMORTAL ENTITIES:

ANYA EMERSON: In the Dimension Atiostyl, Anya Emerson (as she was known on Earth millions of years ago) is still in existence, tending to the needs of the simple medieval rural civilisation of those parts as a Justice Giver. Her home palace is entitled Xanderholm., She still maintains contact with other immortals from the early twenty-first century CE era who visit her occasionally, as well as the aforementioned descendants of Willow and Tara Rosenberg-MacLay and Douglas and Daniel Osborne-Mercer. At times, she can be heard singing an ancient refrain that is believed to be about her lover from millions of years ago, Xander Harris of Earth.

DRUSILLA: No current information exists about the designated Kalderash Vampire Drusilla, apart from her role in negotiating the Slayer-Vampire Ceasefire during the Zombie Apocalypse when it was realised that humanity and vampiredom would both become extinct if they didn't embrace a singular purpose in the context of the struggle against the 'true undead.' For a second time, she fought alongside her old allies, Buffy and Lindsey Summers-MacDonald, Willow and Tara Rosenberg-MacLay and Douglas and Daniel Osborne-Mercer. She is then believed to have emigrated to the ecosynthisised world Dra'akh and spent several billion years within the Ruling Council on the vampire-dominated world whose ecosystem was geared to the maintenance and survival of Terran diaspora vampires. When Dra'akh's red dwarf sun began to die, she is then believed to have boarded an inter-universe vessel and entered a singularity to travel to a younger parallel universe. Which one exactly cannot be determined.

LINDSAY AND BUFFY MACDONALD-SUMMERS: These two immortals have featured in the histories of many worlds throughout their immeasurably long lives. With the millennia-long battle against vampires over and with no reason to stay on Earth after their closest friends from the Sunnydale days died, Buffy and Lindsey settled and resettled on numerous colony worlds around the Milky Way and then outside it as billions of years passed. They are known to have been at the Sol Vigil when the long-abandoned Earth was finally destroyed when the red giant, swollen sun went supernova. There are sporadic records which indicate that they took pivotal roles on the Ginnungagap Council as the last energy reserves in the universe gave out and it was necessary to evacuate it altogether for younger universes, Along the way to that legendary conclave, both of them fought other immortals until they achieved paramount status as the longest-lived in the known cosmos of the time. They are said to have lived in innumerable iterations of Sunnydale and Los Angeles along the way, reliving the lives they once led so long ago. As with Drusilla (see above), they entered a singularity to another universe when those duties ended and left their original universe to entropy, quiescence and extinction.

THE END

He's basically an OMC- Xander died instead of Tara when Warren Meers opened fire on Ravello Drive and Giles brought Doug along from the Watchers Institute. He's a wiccan, a Watchers field agent, has decidedly modern musical tastes and is an out gay man. So, basically, Oz came back to Sunnydale in this AU, the two guys fell for each other and a lot of other divergences happened. See my earlier fanfic for some background detail about the guy.

And as for Fred...

FROM: A SINGLE PRESIDENT: THE LIFE OF PRESIDENT WINIFRED BURKLE: Columbia University Press: New York: 2072:

It's been five years since the death of our third female president. She was the one who guided our recently reunified country and renewed our sense of destiny and purpose when it came to the Zombie Apocalypse when it descended on the United States in the 2050s. The events of that tumultuous decade were responsible for hundreds of millions of deaths and was instrumental in the 'ceasefire' between humanity and vampiredom brokered by the Watchers Council. It was largely thanks to the intervention of President Burkle that the zombie incursion failed to hit the upper eastern coast and western coast of the United States as severely as it had Central and South America. President Burkle is noted for being the only single female US president thus far. However, it is rumoured that when she died, she uttered a singe word: "Wesley..." As Ms Burkle was from a Presbyterian background and had shown no interest in Methodism, the reason for his cryptic statement remains unknown.

And Faith...

Watchers Council ENews

DEATH OF FAITH LEHANE (1981-2053):

Tributes are flowing today over the death of veteran vampire slayer and later an icon of the anti-zombie resistance, General Faith Lehane USAF. Despite a troubled early life, General Lehane ultimately came right and played a key role in the recovery and rebuilding of the Watchers Council after the events of 2003 and the assault of the First Evil against the slayer sisterhood and the Watchers Council and Institute. For two decades after, Lehane's earthy nature and wit endeared her to generations of successive slayers and insured their prolonged survival in the field, until the dawn of the zombie apocalypse and the necessity of the human/vampire ceasefire. Even in her seventies, however, Faith Lehane was to prove a combat asset as she took up arms and fists against the newer undead threat. If it hadn't been for her intervention, the City-State of Denver would have been overrun by zombies and it was her courageous sacrifice, luring the Colorado Springs zombie superhorde into a dead end valley and culminating in the detonation of a nuclear device that proved the City-State's salvation. Former slayer Buffy Summers-MacDonald observed: "Trust Faith to go out spectacularly. I will miss you, amiga. So much."
