College Majors

There's a thread about people's jobs, so I thought why not discuss what your college major is, or was.

Mine's going to be for communications/broadcasting. I want to on the radio, and luckily my college has their own radio show so I'll get to do that.
 
Freshman year, my major was Communications. It was okay but not exactly what I thought it would be. In the beginning of my sophomore year, I chaned it to Humanities and Social Sciences which is better because it goes great with my job. That and it's also very interesting.
 
Where you going for the same communications major as me? I know they have different ones other than just for radio. Why didn't you like it?
 
The one I did had a lot of classes where we had to speak in public and I hate doing that. I was also taking a sociology class then and I really enjoyed it so I decided to change my major to something related to that.
 
Bachelor of Arts; History/Politics

I was doing Criminology/Psychology, but it wasn't for me. I also did Aviation.
 
lol no no, i did my first year, i was doing Crim/Psych, wasnt for me, so i did aviation, got my certificate in the theory, i just need to do more hours of flying to get my licence. Which can be done any time. Now im doing my degree in History/Politics.
 
i'm one year from finishing my psychology degree, if all goes as planned i'll get a masters in criminal/forensic 🙂

Just FYI Hero - I work in Radio right now, promotions and web, but I've done everything from on-air to music programming. I went to school for Radio Broadcasting 🙂 Any advice or anything I can offer, anytime for sure.
 
We don't have colleges in Sweden... Right now I'm studying film studies for one year, but not at uni just at this smaller school. When I study at a university I'll most likely study gender studies or law... Or creative writing 😀
 
I hope so. I have three career choices in mind, all three totally and completly different... and I don't know what to do 🙁

Sometimes you start one thing and decide you don't like it. Just change to something else. The first two years of school are usually basics - English, Math, etc. You have time to choose.
Man, I really should start thinking about what I might want to major in. I considered Psychology, but...eh. I might do something involving art, though, just not sure what.
 
BA in Business Studies here...

Was there a concentration in that subject or just a general Business Studies?
When I was in college, I majored in Political Science with a minor in History. I was thinking of changing my major to History, but then I had to quit, so I never did. A good friend of mine has a Master's in Russian Studies, I always that was pretty interesting.

Russian studies? Isn't that like "Klingon studies"? LOL!
