Brie, bacon, & strawberry grilled cheese sandwich.

What are your favourite comfort foods? What do you grab when you want to treat yourself? Mac & cheese? Pizza, ribs, grilled cheese sanwich, fried chicken...? What culinary delights make your tummy rumble? 😀

(Also, I highly recommend lavendar bubble baths, with rose petals; and perhaps a glass of red wine)

breakfast for me is usually something quick, yogurt & granola, or toast or cereal. I'm between lunch and dinner for my favorite. If snacks was a choice that would win hands down.

I'm a snacker too. But I chose dinner, and think of pizza followed by trifle - I love trifle 🙂 And a nice glass of rose

Comfort food: homemade oven rabbit jerky
Bubble bath: lavender

Crisps are my downfall, and I much prefer snacking with savoury over sweet. Bread is probably my biggest comfort food - I couldn't imagine not eating bread. Gotta get my partner back into breadmaking. 😀

I picked dinner as my favorite meal because there are so many different options.

A nice cheese and charcuterie plate with a glass of wine is my go-to comfort food. Mac and cheese is always good too.

Bubble baths are always nice...Lush bath bombs are A+.

Bluebird,
be careful when eating bread, because if you eat to much bread it causes eyesight problems.
EXAMPLE:
When one is stood upright you cannot see your knees, I know this as I suffer from this affliction.

Chocolate is pretty much a drug to me. I calm right down if someone gives me chocolate. Even if I am too sick to eat it I will run away and hide it so the dispute will be over.

I cant handle lavender, ugh, it gives me such a headache. Just thinking of the smell shudder yuk and now my head hurts haha. I am the same with ginger.

Epson Salts baths. Much relief. I did have some from the chemist with menthol added which was pretty nice but the cost was ridiculous. I can get 5 kilos from a stock feed for half the price of 500gms from the chemist. Im thinking of adding some oil or some lemon herbs I grew in the garden but not sure - might have to find someone here to help with that one!

The wonderful thing about a long soak is that blissful, in-the-womb feeling. When your body is immersed in warm, scented water, its almost like being hugged by angels. Nothing else matters, and your mind seems to float in a cocoon of peace.

Also, buttermilk (and blueberry!) pancakes, hickory smoked bacon, biscuits, scalloped potatoes, baked pork chops, garlic mashed potatoes, strawberry cheesecake...
