Rayne and I have had this discussion before, now I want to extend it to you guys.....

I have comfort movies, movies that make me feel...well, comfortable. They are movies that I can watch over and over, sometimes right after its over, I rewind it and watch it again. Or movies that I put on for background noise while I do other things. I go through phases and different times in my life, I have had different comfort movies-too many to list all here. Sometimes I get stuck on one for a week, or sometimes even a month or so.
Right now, my movie of comforted choice is: The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course 🙂

Do you have similar feelings about a movie?

I have three movies like this, and they are all very different---one is the Matrix. The other is The Cutting Edge and the third is He-Man, Masters of The Universe starring Dolph Lungdren. I'm not sure why these movies fit the bill, but they do 😀

Mine tend to be the ones that make me cry but that ultimately have happy endings that make you feel all warm and squdgy.

The Color Purple
Steel Magnolias
Jack & Sarah

I'm a big sap at heart. 😀

Mine used to be The Princess Bride, but I don't really watch that anymore because I've seen it so many times I can pretty much play the whole movie in my head whenever I want to.

The Fellowship of the Ring frequently serves as background noise for me, while I'm doing stuff like cleaning house or folding laundry. I just crank up the 5.1 and wander off. Sometimes I'll forget I have it on until I hear the Balrog roar from the other room. Surround sound was made for the Balrog!!!

Absolutely. My all-time comfort movie is Sliding Doors.

It's all about fate and how things work out the way they are supposed to. I have watched this movie more times than I could possibly count to! 🙂 And it makes me cry every time...but a good cry.

i like "set it off", "i am sam" and "not without my daughter"
i dont really love to cry tho.. but it makes me feel better afterwards

Just watched that one again (it was on TV). Such a good movie, such a good story! And one that needs to be told.
